Lawrence (Diana's husband): I hike in crocs and these keep my feet dry and warm even in snow. I'd also use these in the hiking boots if the snow was thicker. The water proof socks make a huge difference, they make the water proof socks with crocs a better combination in severe weather like snow and ice than a regular pair of non-water proof shoes and normal socks. This is a must have item for hikers.

The XL sock fits good in my size 14 boots over a wool sock. Keeps feet dry and warm hiking through overflow on icy trails. They give me good support and cushion while wearing spikes on boots in wet, icy, snowy, rough walking conditions. Highly recommended if they fit in your boots or shoes.

My foot sweats quite a lot. Before With various Gore-Tex boots/shoe + regular merino/nylon wools socks, once the surface of the boots becomes soaked and it stopped breathing, after an active day, my foot would become wet/damp from sweat, requiring sock changes. I wore these all day in wet non-waterproof suede boots for 3 days, my foot felt humid but not damp. I did put them in sleeping bags overnight to dry the outsides. Will see how they hold up. They feel weird when you first put them on but feel great once you put on shoes

Why would anybody ever sew a seam the opposite direction of how a sock seam is supposed to be? And it continues on the underside of your foot. Essentially they put a seam running parallel with your toes that stops at the ball of your foot. Strange. Not sure I care that the sock is waterproof windproof and warm when I feel a lump under the ball of my foot. Size 12. Ordered XL and fit feels good through the leg and heel.

I work at a golf course in Colorado and these are a life changer. From wind proofing the wind chill being on a mower, to hand watering when it’s 40-50° and windy, these take care of it all. Little bit of water in your boot? Doesn’t matter. Easy to take off when it gets too hot. Can be worn multiple days (if let air out over night) due to the merino wool lining. I suggest wearing with another wool sock underneath. Regular cotton or other socks can get stinky in there. This does require a shoe with enough space to fit about 2-3 layers of normal socks. If you have really tight fitting shoes, these might not fit but they are surprisingly thin for how much warmth they provide. I wear them with Vivobarefoot tracker moc boots which are super wide and have a ton of space… I can also slip them into other moccasin style boots and shoes quite easily (which I personally love). Great product. I ordered another pair so I can swap them out to stay fresher. Things to note: - The seam down the middle can get frustrating if it bunches up, but it usually works its way out with some wiggling - I ordered a medium and am a size 8-9 men’s wide foot. Fits true to size. Will probably shrink a tiny bit in the wash which might be nice for form. - The sock doesn’t stay in place well above the boot because of the liner so, just know that. You are sacrificing some comfort for extreme functionality.

He loves them. I have bought several pairs. As he wears them out I buy another pair. They keep his feet warm and dry in his waders (even if there's a leak in his waders). Well worth the price.

Socken halten wirklich zu 100 Prozent dicht ! Habe ein Küchentuch herein gesteckt und die Socken unter den Wasserhahn gehalten. Ist trocken geblieben! Im Sommer sind sie relativ dick und warm. Ab Herbst bis Frühjahr trage ich sie aber sehr gerne vor allem zum Rad fahren in schlammigen Umgebungen.

As a regular hiker, I can recommend Sealskinz waterproof extreme cold weather socks for wet, wintry weather. Having worn them on cold, wet walks recently, I've been pleased to return home with dry, warm feet. These are my second pair as my first pair finally wore out after 15+ years of regular walking!

Wore this pair on my last portage trip of the year up in the Algonquin Highlands and kept my feet both warm and dry! I wear M 8.5-9 and referred to the size chart on Sealskinz website, sizing fit perfectly. Last day of the trip our canoe got stuck while launching off, at which time I needed to step out into open water.. Boots were soaked but feet remained bone-dry!
