Educational but fun!
A great, fun, way to practice multiplication facts. My daughter loves playing War so this was a must for us in our homeschool game collection. Educational games can be expensive too but this one is a great price!

Fun way to learn Multiplication!
For the price, this is an excellent learning tool. What better way to teach your child multiplication than through a fun and challenging game. Absolutely brilliant! I purchased this item for my twin boys (aged six). The twins are quite familiar with the game of War, so they caught on to the rules of this game right away. They LOVED playing against each other. My younger kids (aged 3 and 5) even joined in. Soon I had all four kids learning their multiplication tables. Its even fun for adults! The quality of the cards is quite nice - Medium cardstock. Might not be a bad idea to laminate them, especially the card with the answers. Multiplication problems are printed on one side. The other side has a fishy background. The cards are also sized a bit larger than your average playing cards. I thought this was the perfect size for children to hold. The only downside I could think of is that the multiplication problems seems to only go up to 9. Other than that, it is a really fun game that will teach your kid(s) multiplication.

Math, fun and competition in one.
Can multiplication really be fun for kids? Of course it can. If you don't believe this, or even if you do, you should do your children a favor and spend two dollars on these cards. In the span of only a couple hours kids can learn the multiplication basics while having a little competitive fun at the same time. I took off one star because the multiplication only went up to 9 x 9, whereas the multiplication tables in schools go to 12 x 12. This is otherwise a very small complaint on a great product at an amazing price. A quick word about the cards: they are the thickness of a traditional playing card, have approximately the same width, and are probably an inch or so longer. I mention this only because I did not see it in a product description or review. If you have found this review helpful, please leave feedback or a comment. Thank you! Parent please play these games- you won't regret it! I wish I had sooner for my classes!
After teaching a couple of my third graders to play (they had never played war), everyone was begging daily to play! Many struggled with their multiplication facts in the beginning (and throughout the whole year), but after playing these games several times they quickly learned them. I now own several sets of math war (multiplication, division, and addition/ subtraction). Parents: PLEASE buy these for you kids, you will not regret it. They figure out that math can be fun and master facts a lot quicker! Multiplication would be great for second/ third grade up. Very easy, fun, and non-intimidating way to learn facts (even if they need a multiplication table or paper at first). Also a great summer activity and travel game!

These are the answer to your math woes
My 4th grader got really behind in math during COVID. She has been having a hard time catching up. A former teacher of hers recommended trying something more interactive because it may be the teaching method that she’s struggling with it. She recommended these cards. Low and behold, my daughter who hates math begs us to play this with her every evening. Her understanding of math and knowledge of basic multiplication has improved sooooo much in the last couple weeks of using these. I am totally impressed!

Fun way to practice multiplication
I use these cards to engage elementary school children (after school tutoring) in learning multiplication. I modified the game of war by allowing the child to "win" up to 2 cards per each play. The child 1st earns a card if he or she can determine the answers on my card and their card (I tell them to analyze the cards) and then if they have the winning card they get the 2nd card. If I have the highest card and they correctly determine the answers on each card, then I get a card and they get a card. If the child has a losing card and does not get the answers right on both cards, then I both cards. I put the cards aside that they missed and quiz them on it at the end of the game. The person with the most cards win (yes, it does favor the child :-) If the kid is pretty good with their tables, then add speed to it (e.g. they have to blurt out the answers to both cards in 5 seconds). I will be doing a challenge tournament soon with the children. Also, great price on the cards. I saw other flash cards going for over $20 on Amazon.

Highest factor is only 9
Would have returned this but my kids like playing this game. Im disappointed the highest factor is 9. Would have given 5 stars if it included factors up to 12. Will have to find something else.

Great for playing with the family - just make sure that everyone has to state the correct answer to the times table question shown on the card they are playing or they cannot win the hand. Really reinforces all the times tables in a fun way.
