Is this real thin or thick?

It's thin and light but very warm and soft

My "blanket" just got here and it feels hard as a rock in the packaging it came it. is that normal? does it get soft after wash? should i return it?

The blanket is vacuum sealed in the plastic. Soon as you open the envelope it fluffs up nice and soft. My wife loves hers!
