Happy & satisfiedโฆ
I dressed out and worked up a 200+ pound & 11 month old katahdin lamb this past weekend. Did most of the work with this knife. It is sharp as ever. I am very happy & satisfied with this knife. The sheath that came with itnis thin and not worth giving away. The first time I put the knife back in it, the blde sliced the sheath in half. Thatโs on though. I have a friend that is making a heavy duty sheath for it. I will be ordering a couole more for our processing kitchen!!

My New Favorite Knife
Don't put it back in cheap sheath. It cuts right through the not-real-leather and may cut right through anything in its way including your totally unsuspecting husband. But, it is so sharp the wound healed very quickly. My husband had a very hard time finding the cut to put a band-aid on it and it had healed up completely by the next morning. (Luckily) I have used this knife on everything. Including to butcher a miniature steer. And never sharpened it. I took it to a family reunion and sliced everything for a complete salad Including the tomatoes the next weekend right in front of my aunt and several cousins, without skipping a beat. It held its edge beautifully. I've been using it for over 3 months and still have not had to sharpen it and I use it several times a day. I'm impressed and I seriously put knives through it.

It's really cheap but I like it. Needs work.
It's a cheap knife with an even cheaper sheath. The handle scales where uneven and not shaped correctly. I fixed theses issues but the wood is cheap and soft. It's very easy to sharpen on a steel but doesn't hold an edge that well. All that said, I like it. I use it for camp cooking.

not sure how it is so cheap.
I like a sharp knife. I seem to be constantly sharpening something LOL... I go to friends and relatives homes and they ask me to sharpen their knives.. Next time I go they don't have a sharp knife. Sooo no matter the cost knives get dull. I can sharpen anything as many people can do.. I have sharpened a butter knife with a grinder and it worked good enough to carve a ham. So what is the reason they are cheap? One thing is the fit and finish is not great. the wood does not fit well to the steel for instance... and... they are thin compared to say a Husk. but I think they would serve most people well as a kitchen knife... Aaaand... you could practice sharpening on em... or use one of those pull through sharpeners that eat up knives but... who cares? the thing was almost free anyway right?

junk, but thats what i figured in this day and age
like the feel...that's it, goes dull immediately. does not hold an edge, and the handle rivets fell out 2nd ime used.. its a cheap knife, i only needed it at deer camp for a week, but it failed miserably

Happy Camper
I would have gave it five stars but the sheath it came with was cheap the knife cut it the second time I put the knife back into it
