Perfect in old-school engines, not for modern engines
This is perfect for my crate motor Chevrolet 350 with hydraulic flat tappet lifters and cam. It’s in a 1985 Suburban C10. This has been the only motor oil in this engine since 1995 when the crate engine was installed. Still going strong, no leaks very little oil consumption at ½ qt every 4000 miles. If you have an old school V8 Chevy small block (265-400 c.i) or Chevy Big Block Mark IV (396-427-454 c.i.) this is appropriate. Bear in mind it is conventional oil and has the right additive package to keep the hydraulic camshaft lubed in the right engine. Synthetic oil is for modern engines with tighter tolerances. Conventional oils is for old-school engines (hydraulic or flat tappet/lifters). The wrong oil in an engine is a quick way to ruin it.
