Madison Reed Color Reviving Gloss – Cannella Copper, 4oz

Been using this for years in conjunction with Madison Reed's permanent hair color in Matera Marigold. The combo gives me the perfect natural light copper red of my dreams! I get compliments everywhere I go. I will say it makes my hair way too bright/red for my liking until I've washed it once or twice and be careful because it stains things FAST. I find it fades nicely over the course of a few weeks. I use it roughly every 4 weeks, in between coloring. Red is notoriously hard to keep vibrant, and I find that this really does the job without damaging my hair. I wish it was less expensive but I'll continue to repurchase.

This covers my previously colored a month ago hair beautifully and even shows copper highlights to set off my newly tinted roots.

It works well, but the color was too orange on me. Not natural looking at all.

Messy but love the color

This is an update to my previous post. The following day when I looked at my hair under the bathroom vanity mirror I noticed a dramatic difference in the color and shine of my hair. I had medium brown color hair before I used the Madison Reed CANNELLA (copper gold tone) color reviving gloss on my hair. It left my hair much more shiny and I got these beautiful warm copper highlights. I don’t how much it conditioned my hair because I also used the Madison Reed conditioner afterwards. I love the scent of the conditioner, and I was always an AVEDA fan. Still am. The scents are not the same but they are both amazing. To summarize, It worked beautifully for me.

Spent way too much money and time on this. It has absolutely no effect on hair that is not previously colored.

I mix 2 glosses to get the correct color of red I'm wanting. Cannella and Borola. Cannella too orange, Borola too dark, together they make perfection. I really wish they weren't so expensive. I do my roots every 2-3 weeks, my hair grows fast and those grays coming in aren't a look I'm after. I use the glosses, mixed, on everything but my roots. I have 2 complaints, first is the price. I can get about 3 uses from the 2 tubes of gloss that I purchased. So this is expensive to use. My other complaint is that the 2 tubes I received were old tubes. I've purchased these multiple times from MR, but because they have a s&h charge, I decided to purchase from Amazon since it's sold by MR. I'm unsure why then, I was sent the old tubes. Old tubes, tubes are in a different tube now, updated packaging. I still ❤️ Madison Reed though. Fantastic company!

I have been using Madison Reed products for 5 years. I initially began using it because of my allergic reactions to salon hair dye--blisters, rashes, face swelling. Madison Reed's color does not have 6 of the most common ingredients that cause such reactions. I have never had any of those reactions since I began using them. Although, sometimes my head gets itchy during processing. But totally worth it. I also love the easy of application. I receive many compliments on my hair color--especially when I am at the salon for a cut--those lights really make the color stand out!! I am a natural red/auburn and in my 40's and now 50's, I began to lose the vibrancy and the greys started. I use Vesuvius red and Canella Gloss.
