Is the paint kid-safe and lead free? No mention whatsoever on this page or on the company’s website is disconcerting.

Learning Resources takes the health and well-being of our customers seriously. We go to great lengths to ensure all of our products are tested and are both BPA and lead compliant. This product has been tested and is compliant to the standards set by the CPSIA, including lead. Please reach out to us at review@learningresources.com if you have further questions.

Does the hair dryer make noise or blow air?

It does not blow air. It makes a clicking sound when the trigger is pushed. It is very very difficult to push for toddlers. It does not resemble an authentic blow dryer sound.
