The right part, installed the right way.
First, always research your 'part number, maker and auto' for compatibility. This is an AC Delco part (made in Mexico) and fits '02 Trailblazer (and other '02 GM Variants). Installation is not hard 'however' some points. 1. The wiring harness, especially in high mileage, never changed autos, can be a son of a gun to 'unsnap'. The grey plastic piece that resides on the under side of the snap has to be 'slide' towards the front of the car/you, then you can depress the 'squeeze release' part of the connector and pull off the plug. Mine was hard to pull off and having a 'bent' blunt small object to push into the small opening to depress the release is helpful) 2. Once the plug is off and pushed out of the way, use a 10mm socket and small ratchet to undo the bolt. It is a fine threaded bolt and will take some turns (and a LOT of turns to screw back in as well!) to unloosen. 3. The sensor will come straight out but slightly applying a wobble tug will help and if it has never been changed can be sluggish. 4. The 'new' sensor should have a bit of 'new oil' slightly applied around the neck near the blue o-ring. Not sloppy amount, just a film. 5. The 'new' sensor will POP in... with an AUDIBLE snap sound. I have never not experienced that so beware, it will pop in, you can feel it. 6. I cleaned the bolt, put a tiny film of antiseize on it and screwed it back in, and screwed it and screwed it... finally takes up! 7. The harness/plug only goes on one way, don't force it... see the alignment and push onto the sensor's connection. 8. Clean off your work area, start the car. My 'check engine' light went out on the third restart... which is common. We noticed a distinct difference in 'engine' smoothness, in shifting and ever so slightly in throttle response. YMMV. Part does what is says it does. Do your research first, make sure this one fits YOUR car/auto.
