Works as designed.
I purchased this to be able to dry 2 rolls of filament for my 3D printers. This is especially important for the PETG that I use as well as the PLA, I do not use ABS. As stated in the "About this Item" information on the Amazon site, it cycles back and forth between the Temp/Humidity and drying time. The first time that I turned this on I was quite concerned because I could smell the electrical smell. I turned it off and checked it out to make certain it was ok. I think that it was just getting rid of that "new" smell. I turned it on again and programmed it for 6 hours of drying time. The "Work" was showing on the unit, but it shut off after 6 minutes. So I tried it again, and it seems to be working ok now. There is just a simple small piece of paper for the instructions. Most filament dryers are fairly intuitive and this is one pretty ease to understand as well. You are able to use the filament direct from the dryer to your 3D printer, but I don't do that. The unit is lightweight coming in a 3.65 lbs. I had nice sized footprint 9.69x 6.89 x 9.53". I have the white model and I feel it looks nice. I'm pretty happy with this purchase. I hadn't thought of placing the desiccants into the dryer with the filament. I like that idea as well. When the time is completed, it emits a loud beep telling you it is done. That is a nice feature as well. It is extremely quiet and I don't even notice it is on.

Works great
This filament dryer works great, I use it to keep my PETG dry as it quickly absorbs moisture.

Slow and bare-bones but it works
I wanted a filament dryer to reduce stringing when I print with TPU. I don't use TPU very often and rarely need a dryer so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. As usual, I want something that works reasonably well and costs almost nothing. This dryer does both. The controls are as basic as it gets. You can set the temperature to 40, 45, or 50 deg. C and the time to... whatever. I don't remember and don't care enough to look. All I can say is that it will dry TPU. Eventually. Yep, it's relatively slow. You better know at least a couple of hours in advance that you want to print with TPU because it's going to take a while. This is expected and normal. You just have to plan ahead. I'm docking this thing a star because the user interface is a bit frustrating to use. You can figure it out in a minute or so but it's still clunky. Also, despite the fact that the dryer has sealed ports to feed the filament through, in my case it added so much drag that my extruder wouldn't feed correctly. I end up drying the filament and then removing it from the dryer for the print. Once I'm done, the filament goes back in the dryer. Not the most convenient way to do it but it works. The end result is that I get pretty good TPU prints with minimal effort. Just remember to dry the filament, hang it on the machine, and press go. Maybe someday I'll build a dry-box with desiccant beads in it to keep my TPU dry all the time, but for now this dryer works fine. If you do a lot of 3D printing with hygroscopic materials, I recommend a more feature-rich dryer. However, if you're a tinkerer like me who rarely prints with filaments that need to be dried, this one will work fine to start.

One of the coolest colors I've found so far
This filament is high quality and produces some of the coolest products with the wonderful colors that my customers love. I've had zero issues with it tangling and the print quality is great without any failures thus far, and I'm on my third roll!! I've tried a couple of other colors from Sovol, and they've all been great. Definitely one of my favorite brands and the colors are simply amazing!

Sovol SH01 Dual Filament Dryer – A Solid Upgrade
The Sovol SH01 dual filament dryer is a great addition to any 3D printing setup, especially if you're working with multiple printers or moisture-sensitive materials. I previously used a Sunlu S1 dryer, which did the job, but after adding a second printer to my setup, I wanted a solution that could keep up. While a dual dryer isn’t strictly necessary if you primarily print PLA, it becomes very helpful if you regularly print with materials like PETG or TPU—as I do—especially when printing on both machines simultaneously. One of the most surprising things about the SH01 is how quiet it is. I’ve seen a number of reviews claiming it’s loud, but that hasn’t been my experience at all. It’s quieter than both of my printers and significantly quieter than my old Sunlu dryer. There's a faint fan noise, but it's comparable to a laptop fan at idle—barely noticeable. In terms of features, Sovol packed a lot of thoughtful touches into this unit. It includes built-in roller bearings for smooth filament feeding, a hygrometer to monitor humidity levels, and a simple control interface with temperature and timer settings. Compared to the Sunlu (which has fewer controls), the Sovol is more user-friendly when it comes to dialing in your desired settings. The polycarbonate cover has four filament feed openings—two on top for direct drive setups and two on the front for Bowden-style printers. These openings are necessary to let moisture escape and bring humidity down effectively. They come with gasket covers, though I find them more optional than essential. I usually leave them open during use and close them in between to help maintain low humidity levels. It does take a bit of time to heat up—expect around 20 minutes to reach 50°C due to the slightly larger internal volume. But for longer drying sessions (6+ hours), that warm-up time is negligible. In my own testing, I saw the relative humidity drop from 30% to 23% in the first hour and below 20% after about 8 hours. If I had one small request, it would be an additional front opening that allows for quick access—something that doesn’t require threading filament through it. Sometimes I start a print with filament in the dryer, then move it to a printer-mounted spool mid-print, and a quick-access opening would make that easier. It’s a minor inconvenience and likely irrelevant for most dual-dryer users, but worth noting. Final Verdict: The Sovol SH01 is a quiet, efficient, and well-designed filament dryer—especially great for setups using multiple materials or printers. It outperforms my Sunlu S1 in both usability and performance, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to level up their print quality.

Works when it wants to, I'd never leave it running in the house alone, tho.
Got this for Christmas. 1st time I used it, came home to a very hot unit and a home that smelled of burnt plastic and the magic blue smoke of PCs. Heating element had burnt out. Contacted Solgol who sent me a new heat element and board. Off and on I try to use this, however if I turn it on and start drying spools, 3/4 times the unit will chime and turn itself off within 20 minutes vs the 6+ hour cycle I set it at. It's not like it knows if the filament has dried enough, it either glitches and turns off or overheats and turns off. Once this full conks out or I see a different one I like at a price I like, for sure I'll be replacing. Customer service wasn't terrible. I just wonder what they'd do if I wasn't good at soldering and fixing things.

Good for the money!
I bought this to do an enclosed project for the flashforge M5. The color is slightly off but still close to the picture. The print quality was pretty good, the feeding was great! Over all a decent filament for the money! This is my 2nd purchase of this filament.

Great Filament Dryer With a Small Drawback
The Sovol Filament Dryer works exactly as expected and the build quality is genuinely impressive—solid, well-made, and easy to use. It does a good job drying filament right out of the box. Where it falls short is in fully utilizing its drying capability. To achieve lower temperatures and get the best performance, you’ll need to print a few modifications. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it would’ve been nice if those features were built in from the start. Overall, a very good filament dryer with excellent construction, just expect to do a little tweaking to get the most out of it.

Best filament dryer out there.
I've been looking at various filament dryers for quite a while (including on Aliexpress) and this seems to be the best thing going for what you get. There are several less expensive dryer boxes that will dry one roll at a time, but this is the only one that I've seen that will do two at a time (or one really large roll). Unlike most of the others, this unit also has a seal that the lid sits in, clasps to hold the lid closed, an internal fan, and shows the humidity (not just temperature). I have seen people modify other dryers to add some of these features, but after the trouble and cost of the modifications those boxes still only hold one roll at a time. This is still more economical than buying two un-modified single roll dryers. This dryer preforms quite well and has brought some life back into some of my older rolls of filament. Since this has a proper seal it will also keep a roll dry even when it's done. I now have a muti-filament (3) 3D printer and I have ordered a second dryer so I can keep three rolls plus a spare dry all the time while printing. You can set 3 different temperatures (40C, 45C, & 50C) and drying time from 6 to 12 hours. The box heats well and seems quite stable, and you can really only hear the fan when the lid is open (will update if it gets noisy). There are touch sensors for the three buttons on the front, and the backlit display is very legible. The external power supply gets warm but not hot and I've had it running for days without any issues so far. It has two filament holes on the top of the lid, with seals, and a seal for the power plug on the back. The only thing that would have been nice is extra filament holes on the back (or front) for alternative routing options. I'm quite happy so far and would recommend this over the single roll dryers (even if you only really need it for one roll at a time) 5 star product 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Oh look, it’s a rainbow!
We’ve used a few rainbow filaments in the past and being in the UK it is quite hard to find a good fast transition rainbow (the US seem to have all the good ones) After using the MKOEM Rainbow for the past year and seeing that it is nearly twice the price of this from Sovol I was thinking why not give it a try, I could always get 2 rolls and pay the same amount (as you can never have too much filament) So glad we gave it a go, the colour gradient is beautiful and although it isn’t as fast as the other stuff it is still very quick between colours. Had a tiny bit of stringing when printing but nothing horrendous, or barely noticeable even. Would definitely recommend, especially if it’s got an offer on it! This will be our new go to rainbow from now I think, great job Sovol!

perfect quality filament
Excellent quality and consistently reliable. This PLA filament feeds smoothly, adheres well to the print bed, and produces crisp, detailed prints with minimal stringing. The finish is clean and professional-looking, with vibrant color and a slight sheen that really makes designs pop. It’s perfect for both beginners and experienced makers—low warping, no unpleasant odor, and great layer adhesion. Ideal for prototyping, decorative pieces, and functional prints alike. Highly recommended for anyone looking for hassle-free, high-quality results.
