Love the compact size and quality.
Love the compact size of this book. Perfect to drop into my purse and read when I’m waiting in lines or at doctors offices. This is my favourite Dickens novel. I’ve read it many times.

it was a challenge.
I challenged myself to read this because I never completed it when it was required reading in high school. Definitely a book requiring concentration. Written in the style of the time, it is wordy, with convoluted sentences up to a paragraph long. It is full of the expressions and terminology of long ago, which makes it a bit difficult to follow, but if you focus on context it is understandable. If you can distill it down to the story, it is worth reading - and almost PROPHETIC. A people who are oppressed, dirty, starving, and subject to the whims of "Nobility" and wealth, even as to life and death, finally rise up and take control, and in the process become as merciless and cruel as those who have oppressed them. Within that story, you find a deeper story of compassion, love, mercy, devotion and heroism. Don't expect a totally happy ending. Worthwhile reading, just be ready for a challenge. Push yourself.

Tiny book. Too small to read.
Got it today. It is tiny. Like three inches by five inches. Too small to be practical. The type is super tiny. It’s a pretty book with gilded pages but really not readable.

Great book
I love the small size of the book and gold edges on the pages. I didn’t realize how small it was when I ordered so I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It’s so easy to travel with it.
