Great piece of kit
Easy to wear, accurate and easy to sync with a Garmin or iphone. Charge lasts for many hours as well so great for long bike rides.

It reads my heart rate while exercising
The HR monitor in my very old stationary exercise bike became flakey. I wanted a replacement that wasn't a chest one and could be worn on the wrist or upper arm solely when exercising. This one was a reasonable price from an established brand, and it's a HR monitor, it has one job and it is doing that flawlessly with my android phone. Niggles not related to the devices function. 1. It has a light that changes colour with heart rate, but to set the zones you have to use an app HearTool. It's the easiest solution but you have to read the manual and it's in tiny writing. 2. Finding the right third party fitness app to work with it was a chore, a part of it was because I'm using a stationary fitness bike so all the GPS stuff is not applicable, and neither is the social media crap because *all* I want is a record of heart rate over time. The app I settled on was Wahoo, even though I had to create an account (all the others wanted one too). 2b. Remember to personalise your account with height/weight/age/sex before using. I wear it on my upper arm and forget it's there.

Spot on
I bought one very similar direct from IFIT. Good quality but expensive. I have to say that this one does the job equally well and works fine with our IFIT equipment, at a more fairer price. Only slight niggle and reason I couldn’t give 5 star is that the charging connection is a bit flimsy on the back of the unit. This does not inhibit the unit from charging, but check the light to ensure it’s connected properly.

Doesn’t work
I tried it once, I was wearing it correctly. Had me running slower than walking pace for most people to keep my HR in Zone 2. I eventually got frustrated and started walking, and my HR started climbing into Zone 4. Eventually gave up and stood still, and it climbed to Zone 5 when I was standing still. Utter crap.

Recommended.
I use this HR monitor every time i do the exercise bike. Would highly recommend, has different colors for different HR zones. Easy setup and connectivity to apps.

Works fine at first but updating bio-data NOT so well supported.
I generally like the hardware item & found it useful but the apps. are stressors. I got locked out of the heartool app. it looks to be a forcedSecurityStressMonsterAnomally. If unused the battery loses its charge in a few days. This is a nuisance I should not happen with current technology. The phone app heartool should NOT be recommended for pairing with it because it keeps insisting on a password which I have forgotten, I already ID myself on the smartphone & the heartool app. provides no user friendly way to retrieve passwords. This is a big nuisance that has currently given me no other option than to leave the device less accurate than it might have been because I cannot adjust my resting heart rate & weight. The Coospo coospoRide app. is also a ForcedSecurityStressMonster.

All good so far
Simple to use and twin with my phone and bike. More comfortable than a chest strap or watch. Much better battery life than my garmin

An accurate, on the arm, heart rate monitor.
I hated the chest strap heart rate monitors, and the heart rate monitors in watches never seemed accurate enough for me. When I purchased the Coospo HW807, I was amazed at how accurate it was, and how comfortable it felt. Most of the reviews seemed to suggest placing the strap on the upper arm, so I chose to position my strap just below the elbow, on the inner side of the arm, (see image), and the elasticity in the strap means that I can set the strap length once, and leave it at that setting, sliding it on and off my arm as needed, so I don't even have to disturb the Velcro. I put the Heartool app on my phone, as suggested, and that enables me to do a quick check on the battery level, check my actual heart rate, and also set my individual heart rate zones on the Coospro, before using it coupled to the Garmin Edge 530 on my bike. Some users seem to have had trouble getting the Heartool App to connect with the Coospro device, or the app disconnecting from it. The trick is to make sure that Bluetooth is running on the phone first, then start the Heartool app, and then start the Coospo device, if this sequence is followed, the Coospo should connect to the Heartool app without any problems.
