Does this product require an accelerator light?

I think the accelerator lights (the gimmicky LEDs seen included in at-home kits, not the in-office ones) have been proven completely ineffective. Just a marketing tactic.

Does this come with tray?

The kit comes with two mouth trays.You dip the tray in hot water and place it around your teeth and suck the air out. You can also your fingers and tongue to shape the trays. This will mold the tray to the unique shape of your teeth. You have about 5-10 seconds before the tray cool down. You can put the gel in the trays and put them on for 5-10-15 minutes.Or you can choose to paint the gel directly onto your teeth and wear the trays over.

Can you do it at home or need to see a dentist?

Just make sure this is the set that comes with the moldable mouth trays. If not you can order those from Amazon too.. and then just order refills as needed. Pretty easy to use... just follow the directions. No you do not need to see a dentist unless you have other teeth issues or want to loose 500 bucks.

How large are each of the 5 syringes included? (usually, syringes in these products are either 3, 5, or 10 cc/ml)

5 ml. Be aware, the instructions with the syringes recommend you keep in your mouth for 45 minutes. That's too long for a 44% solution. I don't think they work as well as the ones I buy at my dentist either - they are just less expensive.
