12/19/2022 I knew what I was "getting into" when I bought the Canon Pixma Pro-200 printer after I had to retire (as in recycle) my well-used and too often repaired Epson Artisan 1400 printer. Because the Pro 200 printer is still so new, there are very few "deals" or third party substitutes for the seriously overpriced CLI-65 ink cartridges. For me it is easier to search online for better OEM ink prices than to start drilling holes in filler caps, and and switching chips using glue dots. If you want as good a printer as the Pro-200, you should be be prepared to PAY for the ink cartridges which are seriously overpriced. I anticipate that within a year more third party choices will be available which, hopefully, will cause Canon to lower the price of the CLI-65 cartridges. I recommend the Pr0-200 printer with the caveat that the ink is rather expensive.

I mean. It’s printer ink. It works as intended. 5/5 would buy again.
