Is this works for a 2008 tundra 4.7L?

you know don't waste your money here and there guessing, take your car to a pro ,get an advise ,and then buy the parts you can fix by yourself.

Will this eliminate tapping/knocking noise coming from my old one? Part # is the same, mine still works but doing noises.

Depending on the design of the control, some of these solenoids are pulsed by the computer, so brand new OEM ones will make a clicking noise. It's the nature of them. Now, if yours is getting bad, and making excessive noise, it may fix that problem, but don't be surprised if the new one doesn't sound much quieter.
