My students earn Yes! cards for good work, hard work, showing up for school on the day before Christmas/Easter/Fall/Spring break, and can purchase food, goofy items, and fun stuff with their cards. I teach eight grade, and learned if you don't feed the children, they consume the teachers first. These fun sunglasses were wildly popular, and when I stepped into the hallway between classes, students who traded the cards for the glasses were incredibly popular. "Where did you get those??? I want one." Since we don't have a store in school, my students earned serious cool points.
