Feels the same as a standard hi hat stand maybe even better since it's very flexible with the two legged swivel pedal stand.

As for the DW DWCP9502LB8 Hi-Hat Stand, make sure you get the 9502 model as it has a longer mounting bar. At least I found it useful. Smooth operating remote HI Hat stand. I center mounted the Hi Hat in the middle of the kit. Open handed drumming freedom at its best.

Awesome piece of hardware!
DW hardware is the best of the best. I never used to think that hardware mattered that much but now I see the error of my ways. Good hardware actually even makes you a better player. I'm so glad that I got this remote hihat stand. It is the heart of my set up and it helped me finally build the rig that I had envisioned in my mind for years.

I was pining over this unit for a while now, and now I have it, I rule! Seriously, it is a great addition to any kit, smooth operation, easy install. (Once you find the room to squeeze it in) All in all perfect for my setup..

Love it! Exactly what I was looking for. Cable is super smooth. Very sturdy and and a very high quality piece of equipment. DW is the best. May need to buy another one for the side of the kit haha.
