I thought I'd treat myself to some quality luggage. The day I need to travel the handle falls off. I unpacked everything, unzipped the fabric liner only to discover there was never screws in the first place, not even a loose one inside the liner. The toll free number won't answer instructing you to their website. You then fill out an online form in which the parts list link doesn't work then erases your form you just filled out. 1-3 business days for a response with my next trip coming up. To be fair, I really do like the luggage, it seems well thought out and the wheels do roll very well as according to the reviews but They're website states "Our priority is to have achieved the highest standard in terms of customer service. We want your experience with us to be like the first trip you take, exceptional, welcoming, and relaxing as we aim to put you first and strive to provide the best customer service possible." So can't I speak to a real person that will solve my quality control issue right away? A FOLLOW UP: It's been several weeks since my review. Travel Pro finally contacted me even though it was longer than they stated and I still would have preferred to talk to a real person. They REPLACED the suitcase so I must praise them here to say how pleased I am now that I have a working suitcase. I really do like the quality and would buy again knowing that they worked with me to my satisfaction. Thank you

If you're looking for a suitcase to sneak things through TSA, look no further. This is one of those instances where you really do get what you pay for, so don't be cheap and pony up for the traveling hitman in your life. They'll appreciate the USB charging port and stylish design that's perfect for Europe.

I have a Travel pro checked bag that I love love love. I just took it for a month to europe. The rollability was super helpful for a solo female traveler. It helped me successfully navigate cobblestones in Berlin and sidewalk drains in london and uneven sidewalks in Spain. I decided to splurge and buy a carry-on from them even though I had one, because I wanted something that rolled as nicely. (I found myself wrestling with my carry on while my big travelpro bag rolled along delightfully.) However I am returning it. When I unzipped it a rivet fell out and I haven't been able to figure out where it came from. The design, between the pronounced handle channels and the big laptop pocket, feels to me like it greatly reduces my available interior space. Also, the zipper that has to wrap around the curved front opening for the laptop is very difficult to pull. It's like the zipper teeth.Do not line up and one row of teeth tucks behind the other. It does roll delightfully however the super Difficult front zipper made it a deal breaker. Returning. Update: extra hassle - I had to be responsible to package the return after they sent me a defective item!!! Normally you just go to UPS and they do it. So I taped it back up in the crushed soft p.o.s. box it came in.

I returned this item. It is a good product, but the inside volume did not meet my expectations. The laptop storage area took up some of the inside room. I received a credit through Amazon. Unfortunately, the credit has not shown up on my Amazon Synchrony card. It has been more than a month now. Where did the credit go? Thanks. Larry Varnas

Used it twice a month, holds up great

This is an absolute quality piece of luggage, everything I would expect at this price point and from the TravelPro brand; sturdy, smooth rolling, attention to small details like the genuine leather zipper pulls, etc. I find the handle and the wheels tend to be the "weak point" on luggage, but these wheels are amazing, truly easy to roll in any direction and change direction with no issues, and seem like they will last the life of the suitcase. I can also easily tilt it back to roll on just two of the wheels and it rolls just as smoothly. The handle is just as great, no wobble at all (which is crucial, as I intend to attach my heavy backpack via the trolley strap), and it locks at three different heights (if you have ever had to hunch to roll a bag for MILES you will understand how awesome this feature is). The front pocket on a hard shell case is such a handy addition, though it doesn't offer any real protection for my laptop, so I will be using it strictly for convenience while in the airport, and removing my laptop before stowing the suitcase. The reason I detracted a star on this rating is not because this carry-on lacks in quality and durability, but because I feel the primary function of a suitcase is to stow my belongings. This suitcase feels like the designers were so focused on ensuring the external features, they lost sight of this main purpose. As a result, this suitcase will not hold as much as the average carry-on of the same size. To show what it will hold, I have attached pictures showing the interior of the suitcase filled with standard size packing cubes; as you can see, to fit a "large size", fully stuffed packing cube, the suitcase needs to be expanded out. So the fully stuffed big cube will only fit in the expandable side of the carry-on, as the other side is shallower due to the front pocket. For me, this is still not a deal-breaker, as this is the smoothest rolling bag I have ever owned, and it looks as though this piece of luggage should last me years of regular use. I will update this review in a few weeks after it has been "battle tested" on a few international flights :-) Tl;dr Sturdy, high quality carry-on with a height adjustable handle that rolls super smoothly; doesn't fit as much as the average carry-on of the same size, but overall quality makes it worth the space tradeoff. I would definitely order this piece of luggage again, and would recommend it.

Just got done using this on a trip and had a pretty good experience with it. The construction and overall look is pretty much the reason you are paying so much, but I also know Travelpro products are consistently excellent bags (I own 3 other models), and this one is no exception. I have the compact business model and it looks really small (people seem to want to tell you that). Even when you open it up it looks really small. However, this is one suitcase you will need to use the expandable zipper option with and when you do, it has a decent amount of room.....if you know how to pack. It may also be better for summer travel when your clothes are thinner. One thing I can definitely say is if you are one of those people who worry about whether your bag will qualify as overhead bin size, it most definitely will. I really like the laptop compartment design and I did use the built-in power pack feature. The only dings I will give it is the zippers get stuck a bit rounding the corners (but I was able to move them along with a little finesse) and the handles are a bit hard to dig out. Rolls smoothly. If you have the extra cash, this one should serve you well for many years.

Could do with being a bit bigger but a very smart, durable case. The wheels on it are an absolute dream!
