Work as a charm., but you still get some mess in yoir hands.

Pros: works as it should. Thoroughly gets the grease in the bearing adequately. Con: It takes an extremely strong person (someone stronger than me) to push the plunger down to get the grease to flow. I had to set it on the floor and step on it to make it flow. Not a deal breaker. I would buy again.

A bit messy, but when isn't packing bearings. Worked vary well. I just put it in vise and compress it as grease was cold and thick. It did wipe clean afterwards fairly easy, ready for next job.

The only bad thing about these is they tend to get hydrolocked even if you turn the handle to give more room for air. You have to push REALLY hard to use this. I put mine on the floor and gently pushed down with my foot. I was worried that clear plastic might break right next to my wrist and really didnt want to deal with major bleeding. Once your bearing is packed unscrew the handle and pull out the bearing and clear some of the grease away from the holes. Then attach the handle and try to avoid rocking side to side as you pull up. I think its the side to side motion that puts too much stress on the threaded piece and snaps it but then again it could just be a weak point and breaks from just being pulled. I only need to do this once or twice a year so not a big issue for me.

Works great and makes it easier to grease bearings.

This product requires a large amount of grease to get started. The moving piston was difficult to move; I had to place the clear plastic container in hot water before the piston would move. Once filled with grease, I placed my bearing on the piston and locked it in place. I pressed down on the plastic plunger; however I could not see grease ooze out of the top of the bearing. After removing the locking mechanism from the bearing, I saw that most of the grease wound up in the bore of the bearing, because the holes where the grease squirts out under pressure from the piston are located inside the bore of the bearing. I proceeded to pack grease in the bearing the old fashioned way using the palm of my hand to force grease into the bearing.

Works great and packs my bearings just fine. Some tips that I did to make this work much better: * lightly coated the o rings and plunger with a film of grease to help with the push * put an entire 14oz tube of grease into the reservoir

Sturdy product and excellent service

Excellent add-on to garage. Especially if you diy your trailer bearings. Keep your hand cleaner and saves time.
