Gaiam Yoga Bolster Pillow, Supportive Cushion for Restorative Yoga

As a personal trainer with over 15 years of experience, I am always looking for quality recovery and restorative tools for both myself and my clients. The Gaiam Yoga Bolster has exceeded my expectations. First, it is incredibly comfortable. The fabric is soft and inviting, and the density is just right. Some yoga bolsters are either too firm, heavy, and bumpy, or so soft that you sink into them and lose the support you need. This bolster strikes the perfect balance. When I lie on it, I don't feel like I'm squishing down into the filling like I do with some overly soft bolsters. It provides support exactly where I need it while still feeling comfortable and relaxing. Another feature I really appreciate is the handle. Yoga bolsters are naturally a bit bulky, which is necessary for proper support, but the built-in handle makes transporting it easy and convenient. It's also surprisingly lightweight compared to many other bolsters I've used, making it simple to move from room to room or take to a class. What has impressed me most is its durability. I've owned this bolster for over two years, and it is still in excellent condition. The shape, support, and overall appearance have held up very well despite regular use. To help it stay in great condition, I do recommend keeping it indoors and avoiding lying on it when you're extremely sweaty. The fabric is absorbent, which contributes to its comfortable feel, but taking a little extra care will help preserve it for years to come. I train hard, and so do many of my clients. Add in the stress of everyday life, and restorative work becomes an essential part of overall wellness. This bolster has become one of my favorite tools for recovery, relaxation, and mobility work. Some of my favorite positions and exercises to perform with it include: • Supported Child's Pose • Legs Up the Wall • Supported Spinal Twist • Supported Straight Leg Bridge • Reclined Cobbler Pose If you're looking for a comfortable, supportive, lightweight yoga bolster that makes restorative yoga more relaxing, I highly recommend this one. Amazing product for the money. Very firm and supportive, I really feel like I can trust this product to support my weight. Wish it was a bit smoother(?) it’s so firm it is a bit lumped up on one side. Hopefully it will soften up a bit more so it levels out.

This bolster does all things needed to support a yoga practice! High quality, perfect weight. I keep it on my sofa as a leaning pillow when not using it in practice. Removable cover makes it easy to care for. Its appearance doesn’t distract from my living room ensemble when “laying around”.

Things I love: this was my first yoga bolster and dispite some dodgy reviews I bought it and I don’t regret it. Price was right. No weird smell out of bag. The material (black), seems durable and soft, and so far doesn’t seem to attract lint or hair (caveat: I also have no pets), and it doesn’t slide around during poses and stays where you need it. It’s firm and supporting, but also not too hard. Things I don’t love - it’s kind of heavy (compared to my other everyday yoga brand bolster 🙇🏼‍♀️ ❤️)! Which probably makes it best for home use and not porting it about to yoga classes. Additionally, this only has one carry loop, so it can be awkward to grab if you get the non loop end while on the floor. I wouldn’t go so far as to say this bolster is lumpy, but the fiberfill/batting does kind of compress/indent. It’s a VERY minor detail and happens due the material used. If you give it a quick plump before or after they pretty much disappear. It seems like it could compress overtime with usage, but so far so good with my couple of weeks of everyday (beginner) use. Even though my hands down favorite is the EY bolster, this one will still have a place and be very enjoyable. I haven’t tried to get the washable cover off or back on so can’t comment on that.

Purchased this as a gift for my daughter in law. Well made and purple! She loves it!

I am a beginner at yin yoga, and I find this bolster to be very helpful. It makes some poses easier to hold for a minute or much longer. I'm 5'4" tall and find that the length works well for me

Large size and well made. I have washed and dried the cover without issues.

Love my new yoga bolster. No idea why the purple one was half the price of the other colours, and this brand was cheaper than any other brands, but this was a steal! Love the fact the cover can be zipped off and cleaned. It's the standard size of a bolster, perfect for all my restorative yoga classes or as a meditation cushion.

I like the versatility of the uses. I n ver thought i would like it but i do. It even suvived a puppy attack. So its now not used as much. It is expensive but it is the right balance of soft, firm and size that makes it perfect
