Great product
Works exactly as stated for Saltillo tiles. Our outdoor entry was very slippery, I was really worried a guest or delivery person would slip during rainy season. Followed directions, took an hour (total project) for about 400sf, worked like a charm. Footing is now sure, appearance did not change. Only caution is to remove items you don’t want impacted before applying product. I was a little fast and loose with our natural fibre rug, and it was stained by the acid, turning the light brown color darker. I used a bucket and broom to apply, controlled dousing in small areas, then pushing around product to ensure everything was wet. I did a test spot, as they recommend, to establish timing for application. Don’t leave, the process is relatively quick and you don’t want to over process. Do not do on a hot or sunny time of day, product will evaporate too quickly, pick a cool, shaded time. Have your hose ready for easy neutralizing process. If you have any sensitive plants in the vicinity, I would water them well the night before, and make sure your neutralizing rinse is thorough.

Cuida bien la terraza y no es rebaladiza en tiempo mojado.
Es muy bueno. Cuando la terraza esta mojada ya no esta resbaladiza. Es una bendicion.

Buyer beware
We applied this product on our ceramic floor in order to prevent our 13 year old yellow/golden lab from slipping. The product worked BUT it left a residue in spots throughout the floor that was both unsightly and attracted dirt. To the best of our ability, we applied according to instructions. We did contact the manufacturer but their solution was not successful. Our problem cannot be isolated so I would hope they had a guaranteed solution in their FAQ section. We then contacted a floor cleaning company and they demonstrated how they could clean the floor (on one tile). That was successful BUT their estimate was $1,600 to clean the entire floor (approx. 1,400 sq. ft.).

Ok, but laborous to apply
We live in the Phoenix area and bought a house with a pool. Unfortunately, the previous owners tiled the back patio - only feet from the pool, with ceramic tile; a bad combo with young children. I applied this and so far so good. This is how I applied it: First, I scrubbed the tile with water and a scrub brush (no soap/detergent), dried it with towels and then sealed all the cracks with outdoor silicon. Then, I put some solution (undiluted) in a $1 spray bottle. After the tile and silicon were completely dry, I generously sprayed each tile and then worked the solution into all the crevices with a scrub brush (I did about eight 12-inch tiles at a time) I sprayed and brushed a total of 30-34 tiles before letting the "batch" sit for 15 minutes and then sprayed the solution off with the hose. By the time I hosed it off, some of the solution had completely dried and some hadn't. Either way, it seems to work. Doing more than 30 or so tiles makes the drying time longer than recommended. Once the tile is dry after being rinsed off, its ready to go. We've all "tried" to slip on it and it does grip. 1/3 of the bottle covered about 180 SF. You really can't tell by looking at the tile that it has a coating on it but to a more skeptical eye, it probably isn't as shiny. I will be watching it closely this season to see how it does in the AZ heat/sun (though this patio is mostly shaded), and how well it works after a dust storm (I suspect I will need to hose the dust off to keep it from getting slippery). Of note, I emailed the company before ordering to ask about how it worked in the heat and never got a reply. I did, however, call the company after receiving the bottle - which looked old, was a different looking bottle/label and was badly scratched up, and asked to verify how to apply it and they were very courteous. So far, I will give this a 5. It comes with a 5 year guarantee. So, if you are like me...either coat your existing tile or pull up and lay new tile, I'd say give this a try. UPDATE, June 1, 2015: I purchased this 2 years ago and have since decided to forgo the labor of cleaning the tile and doing the hands and knees work of spraying spreading this on the tile section by section, which took me about 3 hours for an 8x22 ft. patio. The effects only lasted for a year and the container at the time I purchased this was, I think, about half the price that it is now. Even though we all "tried" to slip on it, I found that, if you are drenched and walk on it, you can still slip so I was always tentative about friends coming over to play in the pool. For the same price ($75), I ran to Home Depot and purchased some outdoor carpeting. No slipping at all now and I am greatly relieved.
