If you want to learn how to play pai gow tiles, then this is the only book out there that will accomplish this. just by reading the book, I can tell the author has tons of experience with pai gow tiles. his presentation of the material is similar to a father teaching his 7 year old son how to catch a baseball. highly, highly recommend this book if you desire to learn & play pai gow tiles. cheers

Although I never bought the original book, this an an excellent book for all "Tilers" of experience levels-pros or amateurs-the author Michael J. Musante has seemed to cover all his bases on this one and the artwork/graphics are excellent and the step by step explanations and exceptions to the rules of play are easy to follow and understand...I received the book this morning and finished my first reading of it just a few minutes ago...I give this book 5 stars+ and can't wait to start my second reading of it tomorrow and put my tiles into practice along with it!!!

This is a great book. He teaches you how to thouroughly play the game and I found the memorization section to be extremely helpful. I was a complete beginner and now fill comfortable playing in casinoes

There is next to no literature on Pai Gow tiles but at least we have this simple book. It explains the game well and also has some fun anecdotes about the game. It has cut-out tiles in the back of the book that you can use as flash cards to memorize ranks and pairs, etc.

very informarive on how a newbie can learn this game. easy to read and study for an american unfamiliar with this game.

Fantastic book that teaches pai gow tiles right from the beginning. It has cut out pai gow tiles at the back of the book for training purposes until you get the proper tiles. (I have ordered mine from Amazon). It has simple ideas for remembering the tiles and their rankings....something I have had trouble with. Personally, I am very happy with everything this book has to offer.

Ich habe mir dieses Buch nicht so sehr wegen der Spielregeln, sondern wegen der Hintergründe zum Spiel Pai Gow gekauft - und in dieser Hinsicht hat es meine Erwartungen bereits übertroffen, Geschichte und Symbolik sind recht ansprechend erklärt.Das Buch ist visuell sehr ansprechend gestaltet, übersichtlich und sympathisch, mit vielen Merkhilfen für die exzentrische Reihenfolge und Namensgebung der Steine und Konstellationen.Kritikpunkt: Das angekündigte Pai Gow-Spiel zum Ausschneiden (die chinesischen "Dominos" sind bei uns ja schwer erhältlich) hätte man sich ebenso gut sparen können - winzig klein, auf dem regulärem Papier und außerdem noch, ärgerlicherweise, gerade auf der Rückseite der letzten Textseite des Anhangs (dafür folgen dann 4 Leerseiten) gedruckt - das hätte man besser machen können, denn auf den Anhang wird man kaum verzichten wollen, man kann also nur kopieren. Dafür Punkteabzug.
