for the price this combo is amazing. Well worth the money and does not feel like a cheap rod n real. Holds up well and operates smoothly. You can usually tell a cheap combo after fishing just once, but this rid has been used a handful of times and just feels right.

The anti-reverse on the reel broke within a dozen or so casts. The rod feels ok though.

This is the best fishing rod I have ever used. Once I put the line on the reel, the casts went farther, and the reeling in was smooth and quiet

Bought in December and used for the first time today as ice just melted where I fish. The rod is perfect but the reel broke within 3 casts (locking mechanism doesn't lock and spool unwinds making a huge mess of line unless thumb holds spool in place - not ideal.) Not sure if the reel is junk or mine is defective but either way i may be out of luck because the deadline for returns has passed . Hopefully Amazon will step up and extend the return / exchange window - especially considering this rod was an "Amazon Choice" which I valued at the time of purchase.

This rod and reel are very nice, the rod is perfect for trout or bass, very smooth reel.. ive had this rod for about 2.5 weeks and already caught a dozen rainbow trout.. very happy with this outfit.. awesome price as well.

El carrete de la caña se traba mucho y no agarra bien la línea, además el seguro traba la manija cuando estoy jalando pero deja que la línea siga corriendo en vez de detenerla.
