PNSO Dinosaur Museums Series (Andrea The Tyrannosaurus REX 1:35 Scientific Art Model)

i recently got this T-Rex model on 2/22/26 ( it actually showed up 3 days early, which was great ). i'll start with the overall presentation: the model itself Beautifully made. it is extremely well detailed and it is very, very accurate. in fact, it's the Most accurate T-Rex model currently made by PNSO. it was reconstructed after Sue, one of the most complete T-Rex skeletons ever found. as far as durability, i would say it's 50/50 and what i mean by that is: it's durable in the sense of being able to survive a bit of a fall from a relatively decent height but, at the same time, the paint on it is a bit susceptible to chipping so, i'd say: as long as you're semi-careful with it, it should be alright and it should last a long time. in regards to weight, it is definitely a bit on the hefty side for a T-Rex model so, you absolutely get your money's worth on that aspect. Also, when it comes to kids, i would say it would be more suitable for either just looking at and teaching kids who are much younger or, if you have older kids or teens who are able to be careful in handling it, then you could allow them to be a more hands-on in studying it closely. so, yes, the educational aspect of this T-Rex is well worth the money and would be a lot of fun for kids to learn about. when it comes to articulation, it does have one point of articulation, that being the bottom jaw. Now, note: when you first get the model, the bottom jaw may be a bit stuck after having been in the packaging ( which, by the way, they get an A++ on that ) but, once you carefully pry the jaws open, it moves up and down pretty well after that. So, overall, i would Definitely recommend getting this model if you're looking for a very accurate, up to date, model that is highly educational. Also, a couple things i forgot to mention: for one thing, this model is a bit pricey ( roughly $89 without any kind of coupons or free shipping ) but, at the same time, with that high price point, you get a Ton of bonus material so, if you're willing to pay it, you will Absolutely get more than your money's worth. i would not be the least bit surprised if they charged $100 for this model because when you consider all that you get with it, i can easily see that level of value in the packaging, the bonus material, and the level of detail in the sculpting and painting of the T-Rex model itself. and that's another thing: i, personally, wouldn't categorize this as a toy, i would rather consider it a model that would better suited for display than for playing with it.

This little PNSO queen is roughly the length of an average adult man’s hand. palm to fingertip. and stands about an index finger tall, which makes her the perfect size to silently judge everything on your desk. She’s sculpted so well it feels like she might start breathing if you look away too long, and the paint job is so good I half-expected her to ask for snacks. Her jaw does open, but unless her head is hanging over the edge of whatever she’s sitting on, she can only manage more of a polite “hmph” than a full Late-Cretaceous chomp. She appears to be made of hard plastic or resin, and while she seems sturdy, I will not be conducting the “gravity test” mostly because I like her and don’t want to cry. She is absolutely not a toy. She is a refined, dignified display piece… who still somehow radiates “pet me” energy. If I didn’t know she was once an apex predator, I’d be tempted to scratch her chin and tell her she’s a very good dinosaur. She weighs about one pound and she is definitely worth every penny to figurine enthusiasts, dino lovers, and children at heart.

I only order PNSO for my dinosaur models, as usual, these figures have insanely good quality, design, and details. Mosasaur- It’s pretty big and has some real weight to it. It looks great on the stand and compliments my Mosasaur teeth perfectly. Spinosaurus- The stability is solid; not super stable but not too bad. I recommend using the stand. I love the colors, the details, and the accuracy of the anatomy is exceptional. Even the details inside the mouth isn’t overlooked, it’s perfect. My 1 complaint is I would have liked a slightly bigger size. This was the largest Theropod, but the figure seems a bit smaller than PNSO’s T-Rex models, so it’s odd it wasn’t made a big bigger to represent this in their product line. 100% worth the money and I’m very happy!

Tsintaosaurus spinorhinus ( Spine nosed lizard of Qingdao ) is a beautiful Chinese hadrosaur discovered in Qingdao province and named in1958 by Yang Zhongjian. Previously released as a mini figure this exquisitely realized figure has been rereleased for PNSO’s 2022 catalogue. The sculpt ; The figure is smaller while eclipsing previous hadrosaurs in sculpted detail. The figure also reflects the most recent scientific research with updated body morphology, most notable being the headcrest which is consistent with newly discovered material. The high pelvis, deep neck and tail clearly illustrates the Lambeosaurine family lineage. The paint ; Visually unique and singularly arresting. The pallete utilizes a myriad of greens throughout the sculpt. The secondary and accent colours meld seamlessly to compliment the figure so that it appears organic and natural as if the hues were derived from nature’s design. Splendidly vibrant and poetically inspired. The pose ; The pose is complimentary to the paint scheme. The pose evokes a scenario of possible behaviors which mirrors that of modern birds, perhaps an adult female during the breeding season in her resplendence, drawn to the distant calls of drakes. Nesting rookeries point to sexually monomorphism as these magnificent creatures converged every year to propagate the next generation. PNSO has delivered a figure which balances accuracy and artistic panache which I hope heralds a new direction in manufacturing standards. The balance issues with previous figures seemed to have been resolved which is greatly welcomed and appreciated. Whether you collect PNSO, dinosaurs, or ornithopods Tsintaosaurus will certainly appreciate this release.

Another PNSO work of art! It is intricately detailed, beautifully crafted and colored, with nice size and weight. A far cry from the dinosaur figures I had growing up. Some may say that it is a bit pricey, but, I say you’d be proud to have one in your collection.

Considero importante resaltar que el color de los ojos vino con un reborde rojo que en las imágenes no está (personalmente no me gusta porque no le veo razón lógica a que los ojos luzcan inyectados en sangre). Además, por la imagen de la caja parece más grande de lo que es por dentro; sin embargo fuera de estos detalles, es una figura maravillosa. La rugosidad de la piel, lo marcado de los músculos que reflejan tensión de movimiento, las escamas del rostro, y el hecho de que pueda abrir y cerrar la boca son un gran estimulante para la imaginación, y te permite maravillarte al pensar en la majestuosidad del animal en vida. Para reforzar este sentimiento de inspiración, el manual trae imágenes muy lindas y un esquema para dimensionar el tamaño real del animal. En resumen, una estatua miniatura muy estimulante para la imaginación, espero heredársela a mis hijos
