STAR BRITE (22 Oz Sprayer) - Mildew Stain Remover New

Works pretty good with some elbow grease. Doesn't get out some of the stains completely, but is a big help. Very unsatisfied with the bottle though. Mine showed some signs of leaking during transit and even after putting the sprayer on it will leak. Sucks to have over half the product leak considering its price point.

I’ve tried several products to remove mildew stains off our boat over the past ten years and this is the first product that has made them disappear, and in a matter of minutes. I took a pic after I cleaned one side of the cushion so you could see what it looks like before. No scrubbing required, you literally watch it dissolve the stains and then they’re gone. Wipe and rinse. Boat looks brand new and it didn’t cost me $1500 to have the dealership detail my boat.

I purchased a used Century Boxing Bob that had been left outdoors for some time. Living in Western Washington's wet climate Bob wasn't looking so great from that exposure. The former owner had already worked him over with some other sort of cleaner but poor Bob was still looking like he belonged at Kalaupapa (look it up). I would have passed on him but the price was too good, so I brought him home. I have used Star Brite vinyl protectant on my vehicles and love that stuff so I thought their mildew stain remover might be in the same league. After ordering a bottle I did a test patch to make sure the vinyl would not melt away, then sprayed him all over, let it soak for 5-10 minutes, then used a soft brush to rub as much mildew off as I could. I rinsed him off with a hose and dried completely. I repeated that process 5 times, each cycle improved the results to the point that I was quite satisfied. I could have done another cycle or two but there is that law of diminishing returns thing and he was looking pretty good anyway. Long story short he went from looking like something that sort of made you want to throw up to lightly freckled; I was quite thrilled with how things turned out. I gave him two coats of Star Brite vinyl protectant and have been beating on him happily ever since. One warning, the way the cap screws on to the bottle leaves a lot to be desired, I would only give that one or two stars. As I was spraying away the cap worked loose and the bottle fell off, quite a bit of the solution ended up on my driveway. Be careful there, fortunately I had an extra spray bottle that actually worked available to pour what remained into. I'm not taking away stars as this is a review for the stain remover, not the bottle.

I noticed it on Amazon and thought I would give it a try after reading what I thought was some too good to be true reviews. This product is exactly what they say it is. It does work on stains in an Instant with very little effort. I used it on plastic lawn chairs & storage cart, see photos. Frankly I had no expectations of it working at all and was totally proven wrong. Both the chairs & cart were going to be thrown out and now are restored to like new condition. It is my pleasure to recommend this product, it’s defiantly a keeper. Good job Star Bright.

If you’re looking for a boat cleaner this is the one you need. I sprayed it on and let it sit for about a minute and then scrubbed it with a brush attachment for a drill and then hand scrubbed it with a brush, washed it off with a wet rag and then dried it with a towel. I wish I had more cushions to clean it was so fun and satisfying!
