I bought this stand mixer to replace my previous K-Mix which had lasted twelve years. It came beautifully packed. Be aware the photograph on the box side doesn't necessarily show the box contents. I would have given this new mixer four and a half stars were that possible. The main paddle is very heavy, far heavier than the previous one and than the other paddles supplied. It's not detrimental but it feels clunky. The balloon whisk is fine, as is the soft-bladed beater. The dough hook has a different angle and I felt it didn't mix bread dough adequately. I was able to use the hook from my old machine, which fit and works without problems. The mincer attachment I had also fits this new model. The machine looks sleek and well made. It's not particularly quiet in use but it doesn't walk across the worktop so I'm okay with that. It's a first class machine for mixing biscuits, cakes, meringues, ice-cream, pastries and also handles minced meat for patties and sausage. It's good value for money, easy to use and to clean. I'm happy with it.

I bought the Kenwood kmix to replace my Kenwood chef, which I’ve had for about10 years plus now. I’ve had Kenwood products since the mid 80s and I know they are reliable, i highly recommend the Kenwood because of its durability.

My old KMix that I purchased in 2010 has been slowly dying a death and I knew coming up to Christmas that my machine wouldn't keep up or last the Christmas festivities so I purchased a new one. Now it is a bit smaller than my old one, depth wise but that's fine because it takes up less table top space. The bowl is lighter than the old one too but the attachments seem heavier. I have to agree with a previous reviewer who said that the dough hook on this machine isn't as good as the old KMix. I totally agree. So much so that I use my old dough hook with the new machine which, thankfully fits the new machine. It does lose a star for this reason though. I wasn't one bit happy with the new dough hook at all and when you make bread every week, you need good attachments. I may swap out the balloon whisk too with my old one. It whipped the cream perfectly but seemed to take longer than my old one. I'm happy with how the machine functions and it's much quieter than my old machine. It's just a shame that the attachments aren't as good as my previous machines attachments. But thankfully the old ones fit the new machine just fine. However, the old KMix bowl won't fit the new model. It's a very robust and sturdy machine and has some weight to it. It's very easy to clean and works really well. I also adore the colour too. This was great value too considering my old KMix cost over twice as much as this one. I paid £233 for this new model. Great machine.

Excellent mixer. Only problem removable splash guard keeps falling off. Contacted Amazon and replacement on its way . My only disappointment mixing bowl has no K marking on as advertised. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER April Splash guard went faulty given a Gift card £12.95 to replace it. Contacted Kenwood customer care as bowl on mixer was not as advertised. Reply was contact Amazon !!! Mixer has now jammed on the release from mixer to bowl and can not be used at all. In the bowl is a Flexi rubber blade for mixing that I purchased from Amazon £20.45 which I was unable to remove as no accesses to bowl. I explained all of above to Amazon and now have returned mixer with blade still in bowl. Cost of mixer was £259.00 Refund now being given is £246.05 as person on telephone could not understand that gift card was to replace faulty splash guard and then told they could not replace or refund mixer blade that is still in jammed mixer. I would like a Full REFUND £259.00 for mixer and £20.45 for mixer blade. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS MATTER URGENTLY

Perfect! We bought this after returning a cheaper unit which was shocking. This mixer is sturdy, and after some adjustment of the internal key, doesn't move or shake at all. The unit itself is so pretty, and the bowls and heads are solid and a good weight. This worked perfectly for a test loaf, and is well worth the money. Absolutely recommend this, and it's so good at its job that I no longer dream of a KitchenAid - this is everything and more! I also love that t here are so many additional attachments available to buy, from juicing through to lasagne rollers - absolutely ideal.

I got my first kenwood stand mix for a wedding present in 1976. It started to make a strange noise about 2 years ago. I was sad about that after many years of work making cakes and loads of bread. The main body was orange, the top was dark brown with a stainless steel bowl. It was very unusual. I have bought a new and said a sad goodbye to my old kenwood. I love my new KW it is so quiet and I am making bread again. Thank you Kenwood for producing this wonderful machine.
