1000watt. How loud is the fan? My current psu is insanely loud and don’t want another.

You can barely here the fan of this PSU, you are more likely to hear your case fans than this PSU, that include under heavy usage. The fan of this PSU has a unique design which I think contribute to it's quite operation. I highly recommend this!

What do I need in order to connect it to EU sockets?

Just the Power cable, these work with 110-240v and are auto switching. You need a C13 to whatever wall plug type is in use in the UK. I'm sure you can find them in abundance here on Amazon

Is this compatible with cable kits for previous RMx power supplies?
