This is easy to put together and pretty sturdy. As others have said, it is made for dvds and cds so if you are looking to store heavier items or books it may not hold up long term. I read the dimensions before buying this so I knew it was going to be small, and that's exactly what I wanted. However, I can see how some people might be upset with the size. The picture on the website and on the box shows five shelves, one with a lot of extra space. However, in actuality it only has room for four shelves. I have two extra shelf pieces that I'm keeping in case one breaks. You can't move the shelves to make smaller CD shelves or try to make the shelves the exact size of a DVD case because of the placement of the peg holes. You could create a couple tiny shelves for knickknacks but that's about it. So, if you're visualizing a unit that has room for 5-6 shelves you may be picturing something larger than it actually is. Overall though, I am happy with this purchase. I wanted something small for my bedroom and this is it. And it is sooo much sturdier than the plastic piece of crap I bought before this.

I'm redesigning my library/den and needed a quick but unobtrusive place to put some figurines. It had to fit in behind a door in a corner of the room, and it needed to be sturdy. It didn't have to look magnificent or anything along those lines, just perform functionally. Well, imagine my delight when this little number filled all the checked boxes nicely. They designed a sweet little shelf with this one. A single fixed shelf and a thick cardboard back give this a sturdiness. Wooden dowels and four screws hold the shelf in place, and the same goes for the top and base. No nails required. All you need is a drill with a phillips head bit to assemble this. Five minutes and it was done. As for ease, I did the assembly in my wheelchair! Beautifully designed for ease of assembly. Nice black matte finish. My only issue with this is that the screw heads are clearly visible...a black plastic cap for each would have been nice. You get four adjustable shelves, held in place with metal dowels. A series of gutters allow the shelves to sit flush and secure in place. There are six placement points to easily customize it to your needs. Very happy with this purchase!!!!!

It works pretty well but for what I paid ($30 with discounts) but I still feel like it was too expensive for what you get. It is lacking basic features like stick on/screw in rubber feet and glue for the pegs, and it really needs a little tube of glue since it is not the most sturdy when assembled dry. I had to order more wood glue since mine dried out but I will be taking this apart and gluing the pegs to give it some stability. The finish could also be a lot better and I had to hit a lot of the edges with a black Sharpie so they don't look scuffed. It would also be nice if I could have paid a little less for less shelves since this only has space for 4 shelves when used with DVD or Switch cases. Even with those issues it is exactly what I was looking for size wise and it does hold a good amount of DVDs. If you have a small collection (120 DVDs or less) and want a little decent looking shelf that stays out of the way this does the job. The wider top is a nice feature and works great as a display shelf due to the height of the rack. The part label stickers also came off with minimal effort which made final cleanup a lot easier. At $25 or less this is a good deal but anything more just makes it OK. Stick on rubber feet and wood glue would make it a better deal. UPDATE: The shelf is very stable now that I've taken it apart and assembled it with glue. I not only glued the pegs but also the edges of the shelf before screwing them together. For anyone having trouble with the screw holes glue some toothpicks into them then cut the toothpicks flush and the screw will grab.

Perfect little shelving unit. I used it to display my autographed horror Funko Pop collection. Great size to put on my mantle.

I'm really not sure why people are leaving all these negative reviews about this shelf. Yes, obviously it's a small shelf, if you seriously couldn't already tell by just looking at the photos, well then that's your problem. There's also this thing called "Product Details" on the page where it tells you the dimension. But anyways, the shelf itself is about 1.5 ft wide and 3 ft tall. I bought this shelf because I had ran out of room on my main media shelf and just needed something small to hold the overflow of blu-rays/DVD I had. Building it was EXTREMELY easy, there really is no need to look at the instructions and would only take about 10 minutes at most to put it all together. It is really lightweight, which is a huge plus for me because I'd hate to have a heavy shelf for something so small, but it is very sturdy and holds well. All in all, it does the job and I am very happy with this purchase and it just looks great!

Went together relatively easy and a fairtly sturdy design. I used it not as intended but as for scale model display purposes. Works for me !

Item arrived within a few days. Seems to be very sturdy for holding CDs, DVDs and VHS tapes. Easy to assemble. Took about 15 to 20 minutes using only a Philips screwdriver. I bought two to stack next to my TV. Good quality for the price.

The build is similiar to ikea but cheaper. So it goes together easily enough. At the time of purchase ... 30 percent off equaled the US price (coverted to cdn dollars) and the indicated shipping and import fees. In other words, you need to see it at 30 percent off to pay the US retail price :( Please see the pics to get an idea of the size relative to the ikea kallax it is sitting on. In one pic, a regular sized pringle tube is placed in front for scale. (totally unrelated, but in the pringle pic you can see where 3 commando strips failed holding one pic frame on wood paneling.) A solid 72 percent in use ... been awhile now. No anchoring has been needed. (mileage will very if have wee ones to worry about)
