How well does the mic cancel out surrounding sound?

M300-XT: noise cancellation works amazingly well for callers on the other end. Best headset I have tried so far in terms of getting rid of background noise on the phone call.

Headphones alone, no. Will work if connected to smartphone that has voice command capability.

Is the phone volume really loud? the new android phones dont send much volume over bluetooth, so i need a headset with serious volume output.

Yes all of vxi/ blue parrot has extra volume trust me you will be turning the volume down on the head set just leave volume up on the phone and use volume on headset
