No regrets purchase. Good quality finish with a full stainless steel body and a non slip base which keeps it firmly in place. The “lid” is made up of two parts, the internal air seal and then a standard air tight plastic lid. The air seal works by you turning the handle up to open the air valve, and then pushing down to displace the air in the container, you can then close the air valve by folding the handle down, which locks it all in place, bare in mind this won’t suck all the air out, it just minimises what is in there as much as possible without crushing the contents, so if you want a 100% vacuum, this isn’t for you. Also small note, you need to consider how much you fill the container, because you need to fit the air seal on top of whatever you have in there but also beneath the top lid, which means you need to leave around a inch of space from the top of the container when filling it. But the small version will fit a standard 250g bag of coffee beans no problem, plus I find it keeps them much fresher than a standard air tight container, but obviously not as much as maybe a vacuum container would, but on a balance of cost and reliability, I’d take this over a vacuum container.
