L.O.L. Surprise! Tweens Freshest Fashion Doll, With 15 Themed Surprises, Designer Clothes And Fashionable Accessories, Collectable Doll For Boys And Girls Age 3 Plus

Well, MGA has created *another* irresistibly adorable doll with this Series 1 Tween "Freshest" doll,🤦‍♀️ inspired by her younger LOL Surprise(!) tot sister doll, Fresh (Series 1 & Glitter, photo 3). Unlike her sister's white Bantu knots hair, Freshest has been given blue & black streaked hair, styled in 3 bound groups of 7 twists inspired by Senegalese twists. As the doll hair is quite straight, elastic bands are required to hold them in place. Unlike Rainbow High dolls, the majority (3 of 4) of Tweens dolls have been given brown eyes, with diverse skin tones.😊 "Freshest" has a light caramel or warm suntan complexion. The term "Tweens" usually refers to kids aged 10-12 years, i.e., almost teenagers. LOL Surprise(!) also uses it to stress that height-wise, they measure between their original tot dolls & their older OMG siblings. Compared to dolls of a similar "age-representation", at about 7 inches/18cm (photos 1 & 3), Tweens align with Barbie Stacies & inspirational Lottie (both 7.5"/19cm) dolls, but are shorter than Mattel's Creatable World (10"/26cm) dolls. Freshest comes dressed--no sexy underwear like OMGs--in a belly-button-revealing top & the trendiest baggy faded jeans with black mesh insets & a long silver side link chain. Silver & black colour-blocked jacket with zipper-teeth detail, footwear, "silver" jewellery, sunglasses, comb, & matching fanny pack/bum bag can all be found in the "surprise"-containers: paper bag, cardboard tool/makeup-boxes, & underbed drawer (photo 2). Remove the tall box with the sci-fi alien poster & flip for (fold-down) bed. Her "composition book"--replacing the fashion magazines of OMGs--informs us that she's into drama+. She's also clearly into 1980s video games.😉 I do wish MGA had made these Tweens with age-appropriate flat feet--slightly smaller than tiny Barbie feet BTW. High heels for 10-12 year olds?🤨 Her arms are articulated, with 90-degree elbow- & wrist-bends. 🤔Tip: You're supposed to remove her hands to slide on the jacket. Her legs still have that limited click-snap bend of OMGs, bending maybe 30-degrees at most. But she sits better than OMGs, bending a proper 90-degrees (photo 2)! The doll stands come with 2 C-clamps (2021-style) instead of that seldom-used "seat" attachment, which provides better support. Unlike Series 4 OMGs, the 2nd clamp is not wider than the waist-clamp, thus you have a choice of fitting both legs in a tight stance or straddling one or both legs outside the lower clamp for more animated positions (photo 4). MGA, wider clamps next release, please!🙏 Adorable, irresistible, and given the detail of the clothing & accessories--e.g. left/right earrings & wedge-heeled trainers/sneakers--this doll is definitely value for money. The small size & lighter weight may even suit kids growing out of their LOL tots or parents looking for dolls they feel are more age-appropriate, with interests beyond the usual fashion & music. Can't wait to complete the series!😊
