How does the seller know how many are in a jar and then, how am I to know?

Hello, we measure every container based on density as well as using special filtering/measuring tools. Every jar will contain 3000+ pods, which will vary from juveniles to adults, so only the larger adults will be visible to the naked eye. We assure that all listed # of pods are within; if they have deceased there will be a layer of brown debris on the bottom of the jars, otherwise they will all have arrived happy and healthy! :)

Will these pods survive and thrive in a freshwater environment?

Most are raised in brackish water, but you could do the brine shrimp eggs and hatch them out for freshwater. They would be just food! Most pods get eaten by the fish and corals.

Ripped off

I do believe i was ripped off. I saw no pods in the jar (maybe microscopic? Weeks later...nothing. No pods what-so-ever in aquarium. I contacted seller and they didn't bother to respond, What a rip off.
