Stands for Skeletons
Standing Skeletons for our display... worked so much better than what we were using to stand the boney people. Will definitely buy more.

It is as bad as other reviewers say
I should have listened to other reviewers. This stand is terrible. To start with, it is covered with brown smears (see pic). I don’t know if that is supposed to look distressed, or like blood, or..,..,whatever the intent, it failed. It just looks like someone wiled it down with a dirty rag. As others have mentioned, the stand is not balanced correctly. Oddly, the pole mounts at a 90 degree angle to the H of the base, making it unstable. I have Crazy Bonez skeletons, but I had to wire them to the post because the clips won’t hold. Even when wired AND with the base weighted down, the skeletons still leaned forward and sideways. I had to put a brick under one foot to prop it upright. Also, it shipped very late and the seller did not respond to multiple messages.

Does the job, room for improvement.
We got this stand to go with the "pose and stay" skeleton. The stand does the job, but could use improvements to the clip points that actually hold the skeleton (they bend far too easy, and then the skeleton falls down).

Took me a minute to figure out how to put it together and hang the skeleton, but once I did it worked great. Such a good/clean way to stand up your skeleton. I saw someone who had 12 skeletons all set up like a scene from Thriller with one in the front dressed like Michael Jackson. It was hilarious and cute - but would've been 10X better if they were using this stand instead of a hodge podge of different color/size sticks.

Does the job, but needs some custom work.
I have purchased five of these stands. They are made to support the Crazy Bonez stand-up skeleton ONLY! Even with the Crazy Bonez skeleton you will need to zip-tie it to the frame for support. This stand works best on a hard flat surface, and something like a brick or sandbag on the bottom rear of the stand would be a good idea for extra stability. If you use it on a lawn, you could probably use tent stakes or something that you could pound into the ground to see that it doesn't fall over. It should probably work nice indoors on a hard flat surface. My recent purchase of this stand was for a very cheap flimsy skeleton that is going to need a lot of custom work to get it to stand correctly and pose it the way I want it, but I already knew that this was going to be the case. The current price is $10.00 more than when I first purchased them, and there is probably a limited number of them left. You also could improvise a skeleton stand with inexpensive pvc pipe and create a custom stand, if you're handy.

Design is great; functionality is terrible
This was a terrible disappointment. I had big plans for this year's Halloween display, part of which required a standing poseable skeleton animal control officer. This stand was *supposed* to be the thing for the 5' Crazy Bonez skeleton. It is not. More accurately, it is not in its current construction. For starters, the top section (C) would not seat far enough down the middle section (B) to trigger the snap pin lock, so the top of the stand would forever be at risk of toppling. Second, the "clips" (thin metal loops) are unable to hold the weight of the skeleton. The upper part of the skeleton slipped forward after just 3 minutes. Manually closing the clips proved no more successful. The structure itself could work fine if it were made only a small bit more competently. If any one of these problems could be solved, I would put up with the others. But, if I end up having to jury rig the entire stand, then what did I pay the price for? The concept is excellent. The execution is abysmal. Your choice is to buy it and work on it yourself or just go out and get a makeshift (metal or pvc rod) and some wire.

Worthless.
Total waste of money. If you don't stand the skeleton perfectly straight, it will become too top heavy and tip over. If you put props on it, it will tip over. If you place it outside, and there's a slight breeze? Yup. It'll tip over. The actual base of the stand is incredibly flimsy, and far too small/narrow for appropriate weight distribution. The only way to put this in your yard without it tipping over if someone coughs on it, is to drill holes through each end of the base, then stake it into the ground. On concrete you just have to weight it down. Save yourself 25 dollars; go to your local home improvement store and buy some pvc + zip ties.

Love this stand! I bought this stand for my skeleton so I could have him next to my Christmas tree. I keep him up for a few months and rotate through his other outfits. I wanted him to be able to stand and put an ornament on the tree. Its fairly sturdy. I don't know if I would trust it outside in high winds.

clips not sturdy enough for skeletons poorly made
