Works great. Helped with pain.
Have been having neck pain and doing this every few days has really been a big help. Feels kind of like you are going to pull your head off or hang yourself the first few uses, but when you get used to it, a great tool to help alleviate neck and back pain.

Questionable quality
2nd Product Update **Feb 2025**I really like this product and decided to tinker with it to fix it. Turns out all you need is a 3/32 allen and a sharp edge to re-tension the ratchet mechanism. Just peel back the front sticker and tighten the allen head screw. After doing the adjustment it properly supports weight again. I didn't see any mention of this in instructions or hear back from seller.Product update ***Jan 2025***With medium use (roughly 20 minutes a week) this thing failed after a week. Any moderate force applied causes then ratchet mechanism to skip teeth. Wouldn’t recommendOriginal ReviewThe product works as intended. It comes with a door jam but it kinda wonky to use up against aclosed door. The product really shines if you take some initiative and mount it to something sturdy. I bought some hardware from home depot for less than $7 and 15 minutes of installation. The neck strap has able space, but if you’re up there in weight 350lb+ you might want to modify it.I had so much neck and shoulder tension before buying this and it’s all melted away. Couldn’t recommend more.

Works better than most that I’ve tried, but pulls too much on the chin
There are several reasons that I sent this back, The first reason is the design, the majority of the pull is on your chin, not the occipital area which is where cervical traction is supposed to come from. Pulling from the chin tilts your head backwards, which increases the curvature of your c-spine, which if you have an issue with your neck this is a really bad thing, and will cause more pain. When doing cervical traction the pull is supposed to come from the occipital area, this is the area on the back of your head that sticks out. However, compared to most cheaper traction devices on the market, this one is not as bad as some of the others. But for me as I have multiple issues in my neck, not just a pinched nerve, but I have permanent spasms, I did get some relief from it at first, but after the third day of using this, the muscles in the front of my neck started to get really sore, the strain of being stretched up by my chin was actually causing muscle strain, this is when I decided to send it back. It is also quite awkward to get in by yourself especially if you are in pain. You shouldn’t be using neck traction unless you have a problem in the first place, and if you have a problem then you probably have pain, and lifting your arms above your head and trying to get yourself in the right position and hook everything in and find the pulley is quite difficult when you’re in pain. It is a good price, and it does give some traction, out of the cheap options that are out there, this is probably one of the better ones, and if it’s all you can get/afford then using it carefully and in moderation would probably help.

Exactly as described
Exactly what I was looking for. Help with neck decompression after a long day. Easy set up.

Simple and works great.
Works great and easy if you have a place that you can hang it straight down from the ceiling. I didnt use there over the door idea. That doesn’t give the correct angle. But in basement I i install a hook from the ceiling and a bench to sit on. Leave it set up and use it every day for 20 minutes and most of my neck bulge pain is gone.

Not for someone with chronic pain
I used it a few times but it just seemed like the wrong angle and would make my jaw hurt. Honestly not really worth it for me. Wish I didn’t get an over the door one and found something I can use laying down. I rent and I’m chronically ill so I’m not going to install an an anchor point to hook it on the ceiling realistically. I could see this working if you’re down to mount it on the ceiling somehow and you aren’t prone to jaw pain. Also as other reviewers mentioned, if this is for pain or severe stiffness, it is hard to reach up and adjust the tension via the lever. It’s doable if you’re not in a lot of pain and have range of motion in your shoulders, but yeah definitely wouldn’t recommend for someone with chronic neck and/or shoulder pain.
