2 Goldwood Sound GW-208/8 OEM 8" Woofers 200 Watts Each 8ohm Replacement Speakers

These speakers were perfect replacements for the woofers in the wall mounted system in my theater room. In fact they can handle more wattage then the speakers being replaced. The installation was easy and there was no difference in the sound quality from the original speakers. Replacing the speakers was an easier & quicker alternative then replacing the foam edge for each speaker, though I may still do that (just to have back-ups for other speakers) as there was nothing wrong with the speaker drivers. I've replaced the foam edge with the center channel speakers since I couldn't find suitable sized replacements to fit within the cabinetry. Replacing the foam is not difficult; one just needs patience and time. I was very pleased with the price I paid and delivery time.

Very impressed with the quality, sound reproduction and easy install of these 8 inch speakers. A perfect retro-fit for my 30 year old Audio Pro stereo cabinets! Only had to crimp on new 0.187 gauge quick slide female speaker wire adapters and good to go! Couldn't be more pleased with the price, product and seller. Merry Christmas!

I was replacing old dry rotted factory speakers in vintage cabinets I wanted to save but the mounting holes did not line up with the original holes. There was no measurements on the specs for the holes. So I had to reposition the speakers and drill new holes. Normally not a problem but these were old cabinets make of particle board. It was a bit challenging but got it done. The speakers do sound great.

My 30yr old Advents had been languishing in the basement with the dreaded Foam Rot around the main speakers. I was going to attempt foam replacement with a kit sold here on Amazon for $23. After thoroughy researching the process, and deciding it was a major multi-hour PITA, I found these speakers for 2x the price of the foam, for the pair! Poly-laminate cones, rubberized foam & the same 20oz magnet, so a major upgrade from the paper originals. I swapped the speakers out in about 5mins, hooked them back up and......one of them had a wicked buzz at about 2Khz. Went to return on Amazon and it popped up that they would send new ones immediately, and to just return the bad ones before the return window date. Got the new pair, replaced the one bad one (why bother messing with the extra packaging?) and tried again. Success! I’ve got an old-school HK receiver that puts out decent horsepower, and I tell you these sound better than the original Advent cones ever did back in the day. This was like getting a new set of high-end speakers for $46, I really could not be more pleased with the product, and with Amazon’s service. Thanks!

I have some old 2 way speakers and the foam surrounding the woofer cones had disintegrated. One still sounded fine, but the other was barely functional and clicking. I replaced the worse speaker first and compared the old and new woofers. The original woofer had clearer low bass tones and the Goldwood Sound GW-208/8 sounded more like a low/mid-range speaker without low bass tones. Maybe after use and break-in, they will sound better. These don't sound bad, just not as good as the originals when they were working. I mostly compensated with EQ settings on the receiver. The price was right and replacing the woofers was much cheaper than replacing the whole speakers. I wanted a cheap, functional solution and the Goldwood Sound GW-208/8 woofers met my wants.

The woofers in my Advent speakers were blown and ready for the dump until I found these replacement woofers. Installation was easy and did not need to drill any new holes as the screw holes lined up pretty close. Bass sound is tight and the speaker is still breaking in. Very happy with these woofers. They came well packaged and quickly. I recently encouraged a family member to order new woofers for his Infinity speakers as he was impressed with my results.

Speakers are decent, but shipping is terrible. They consistently say "shipped", but all they've done is printed the label and then they sit on it for typical 3 business days. They've never met the target arrival date. The Amazon has set an order.

Le manque de profondeur, je voulais plus bas mais c’est compensé par la qualité du son, fait plus ke le rapport qualité prix et ça sonne bien pour remplacer les 8 pouces défraîchis de mes vieilles optimus 10 Realistic ke j’ai refait pour le chalet.
