Wonderful intermediate to pro level songbook for true Billy Joel fans!
This is a great songbook for Billy Joel fans! The level is intermediate to pro, with both piano music and vocal lines, plus guitar chords and lyrics. The song selection is very nice, ranging from 1973-1985. It includes most of his early hits, plus favorites from the eighties like Allentown, Uptown Girl, etc. I have been spending all afternoon revisiting the classic favorites and feeling the music from deep within. There is something about Mr. Joel's music that touches the soul of the player and transports one back to happier times. I recommend this book for serious pianists who want to play the music as it was recorded on the albums. In my opinion, Billy Joel is one of the top composers of this century. He is solid in his songwriting, and his music will be remembered for many generations to come. Give it a try! For fans who are just beginning their musical studies, I recommend the Billy Joel Easy Songbook. It gives vocal lines and chords. Keep practicing, and in no time, you will be ready for the intermediate book! You can do it! Just keep playing! Five stars, but deserves ten!

Good arrangements but not what Billy plays
These are good arrangements and can help you play and sing along to his songs but they are not the parts Billy plays. It would be nice to get a book similar to the Beatles one where it's the actual parts.
