At the point of purchasing this candle I was desperate. The past month or so there has been this very strange odor seeping through my shared wall with the apartment next to mine. I would describe the smell as a cross between skunk and death. It’s one that hits you when you walk in. My brother in law is convinced it’s the devil’s lettuce my neighbors are partaking in, which to I responded with “marijuana in my Christian neighborhood?” And since the pandemic it’s been a lot more frequent since we’ve all been home more than usual. For the sake of my nose, I purchased this candle based on it’s thriving reviews. Let me just say, this candle lives up to the hype. I read people were using it to get rid of cooking smells, but I needed it to get rid of a stench from a different type of baking if you know what I mean. I don’t know how this candle does it, but it completely got rid of the smell coming through my wall. I have burned it every day since I got it, and it’s still going strong. I’ve already ordered more, because this candle is a miracle worker. It’s a weed remover, and if it can get rid of that pungent and intrusive smell, I can only imagine what it can do for pet and kitchen smells. It has a very faint scent, one my mom described as “earthy” but is not strong at all. So it’s not like you would be fighting scent with scent. This candle kills all other smells, whacked ‘em.

I've been using Fresh Wave air freshener for 14 years now. I have a bottle in every car and every room in my house! I keep one bottle by each of my 3 litter boxes too. (some bottles are the original metal ones from 2005-06!) I also use the Fresh Wave gel beads by the litter boxes. This candle has no scent, so if you're hoping for the usual AWESOME Fresh Wave scent (as I was), you'll be disappointed. However, I feel that the odor removing quality is there. I use it in my kitchen so I'm thinking it works. The jar is pretty and the candle burns well. I have told dozens if not more customers about Fresh Wave as we own a small auto repair shop with a 12x12 office and I spray my freshener often. They also offer bulk sizes of most products so you can be a good earth citizen and reuse containers while saving some money. People with pets, or those with musty RVs love it! (I really should carry this to sell, I believe in it that much). You cannot go wrong with this company's products.

Works for me while using it in Kitchen/Half Bath areas. Neutralizes odor . No fragrance . Easy to use.Minus 1 Star for longevity .

Pros: actually neutralizes smells. Once lit for awhile, has a very light fresh, lemon-y type smell. But smell is not what you buy this for. It knocks out funky odors. We use it in our tiny laundry room - which is overcome with stanky dirty diaper smell every three days. I mean, like ammonia and all the other nasty diaper smells.Cons: if you aren’t fond of lemongrass type scent, this one’s not for you. Smells a tad like a natural bug repellent BUT it’s very mild.Pro tip: would work great for areas with litter boxes too. You don’t have to light this for long. I would say maybe 10-15 mins each time for it to work!

Great smelling candle but boyfriend can still smell my onions and garlic cooking. Seems like a small candle for the price. I wouldn’t buy it again as I was looking for a candle to help clear cooking odors. It does have a really pleasant citrus like smell that is not offensive at all.

Did not completely burn. Only lasted about 10 hours. As you can see in my photo only the center of the candle burned. Will never buy this candle again.

This candle is awesome for smells but not real strong in scent. Works perfectly!!!

This is the perfect kitchen candle. Burn this while you're cooking fish or bacon on the stove, and by the time you've cleaned the kitchen, odors will be on their way out. Light herbal fragrance while it's burning, nothing but clean left when it's been blown out. This is really the only candle I've every bought that truly helped with cooking smells - and I've tried a ton of remedies. I can't stand the lingering smell of food in the house after cooking, and this candle does the trick - without affecting my experience of my meal with a heavy, perfume-y fragrance. I use it everywhere else in my house too, but the kitchen is really the reason I bought it. Love it.
