Sealed when others leaked
I had a different self-sealing R-134a tap and it ended up puncturing the can. Not sure how but very disappointing (and yes I checked it was self-sealing tap). This one has been great--used it to recharge using a couple cans and was able to remove it when complete.

Good combination
I bought these 9 months ago. The can tap with adapter is a key item if trying to connect your manifold gauge set to a car's AC lines and r134a can. The adapters and valve tool were what I needed at the time, though, if I remember right. I was installing a mini-split AC and pulling a vacuum was annoying because I didn't realize that you need a pin for BOTH the adapter and the hose but once I got past that, it was easy! Ran into the same issue with a self-sealing can on a car's AC tonight, and couldn't find the adapter. Sigh, might need to look harder or reorder just the flare/acme adapter. These are simple but precise tools, and they work well. You might want to buy one of the sets with Schrader valves+acme caps and valve remover tool with side-access valve as well. The kind with a really long valve-screwdriver that lets you avoid leakage.

Good
Build quality is decent and gets the job done. No leaks and seals properly. I can't say anything about longevity as of this time but will update review it product fails prematurely.
