Great board. Inspires confidence.
Let’s make this clear from the start, I am in no way a long time boarder or skater. I am simply a Dad trying to keep up with his kids. I was never great at riding any kind of board, but after trying out my daughters long board I was hooked. I had to go out and find my own. This board does the job and more. I chose the drop through to give me a little more confidence since I am new to the game. I found the board very easy to ride. This board came with way better trucks, wheels, and bearings than my daughters that was at the same price point. The wheels are soft, but they roll very well over cracks and rocks. The board itself does have some flex, but has kept by confidence even at 200 lbs. The board has given me enough confidence that I have been pushing my ability to try out some moderate hills. Because the wheels are soft, I don’t recommend wheel braking with shoes. The wheels do wear pretty quickly if you do this. I have purchased a speed brake that has made this board even more fun. I use a FrogStop braking system that works great. The wheels seem to hold up great with this system. Overall, this board is great for this price. I plan on purchasing another model for my son. Some reviewers mention some quality issues with the grip tape and defects. My board had no defects or blemishes on arrival. The grip tape has held up fine. I have the strip grapics with a bare wood center strip.

Daughter loves it and quality is good and ride is very smooth
Daughter loves it! Quality is good and the bearings run very smooth and quiet. My daughter is under 100lbs and it turns very easily. For the money, I see it hard to beat!

Excellent!
Awesome board! I personally love it because it allows for a smooth and stable ride. I have been longboarding/longboard dancing for a few years and have tried and ridden many types of boards. I saw this one and figured I'd give it a go. Pretty good investment if you ask me! Board arrived on time and was completely assembled. I will say I did a few adjustments to suit my taste. (1) I relubricated the bearings. (2) Adjusted the kingpins/bushings so that the board will turn more. (They were quite tight.) (3) Added grip-tape to the mid-section on the deck. I did sort of a pin-stripe design. I had extra grip tape at home. If you don't have any, you can get some at a skate shop or order it online. It's cheap. (4) Lubricated all the bushings and pivot cups with Vaseline to eliminate "squeaking". I've done this procedure with pretty much every board I've owned and it makes a HUGE difference! Turns a "good" board into a "great" board! Also, if you are a beginner, or trying out new tricks, invest in some tail guards or meltable poly-plastic to protect the nose and tail. Trust me...its worth it. All-in-all...I really like this board. The graphics are great, trucks are very stable and the wheels that come with it feel smooth are fairly lightweight and can withstand cracks and bumps. Good for cruising, commuting, dancing, freestyle/tricks. The kicks have alot of "pop". I would recommend thos board For either a beginner or advanced rider. For the price, you cannot go wrong! It just needs a bit of tweaking and bit of tlc. After that, you have an incredible board for a great price! And your friends will be jealous! :)

Good for beginners. I'm ready for an upgrade.
I'm prone to GAS (gear acquiring syndrome) and a bad habit of mine is to invest in gear before I'm committed to a hobby. I've done a lot of research to understand the types of boards out there. If your serious about longboarding, you probably won't be on Amazon trying to find one here. Why? One argument is that you should support local skate shops and the brands that support the longboarding community. Another argument is that buying a cheap board will result in a less than enjoyable ride that will ultimately turn you off from longboarding. As a beginner with no stake in the longboarding community, it was important to me that I find a decent ride to cruise around in. I bought this board along with the Quest 42" longboard (one for me, and one for my fiance). It's good for what we use it for. We have paved hilly, concrete trails next to our house and it's been a joy to ride around. This has a good center of gravity and nice big wheels to roll over dips. As for how comfortable the ride is, it's not as smooth as a Quest longboard and it makes more creaks when making turns, but it's more agile than the Quest (maybe because it's shorter and it's a drop through). It's nice and sturdy and I don't feel bad for beating it up. We had these boards for about 2 weeks now. For less than $50, we definitely got our money's worth in time and enjoyment. I like that it came with a skate tool to tighten up the trucks. You definitely need to tighten them up every now and then so avoid speed wobbles if going downhill really fast. It also comes with stickers that I didn't care for... very childish but maybe if you have kids you can give it to them. In summary, if you are a beginner then this is a great way to start.

Took me a while to choose..
Playshion Freeride Freestyle Drop Through Longboard Skateboard Complete I was searching through Amazon looking for a good, reliable long board that could last me a while and came across numerous other options for roughly the same price. I would check the reviews of the other boards and cracking/breaking was a common issue with a good amount of them. To add on, the bearings and trucks were cheaply made, making me choose Playshion instead. The common issue with boards at this price range are the bearings and the trucks, but with this board they are pretty good if you loosen them slightly. Before this board, I used a Sector 9 board which is about $150-200 which I enjoyed riding but gave away to a relative. I will be honest and say the Playshion board can be compared to the Sector 9 because it is priced perfectly for what you get. The maple wood feels great, although it does have some wood splinters that weren't smoothed down. The wheels are wide and make it easy to go over pretty much everything, rocks, branches, and even curbs. The bearings are alright and you won't have to change them for a good while. As I said, the only thing about this board is that you have to loosen the trucks and wheels a bit so that you can go faster, but at the same time I enjoy to have my board a bit more sensitive than most. Overall, I would recommend this board to anyone who is getting into long-boarding and doesn't want to break the bank. The concave design of the board makes it easy to steer and control for those learning as well.

Surprisigly better than the price suggests
I bought this board for my 12 yr old daughter. First let me say that I researched these boards online for 3 days. I wanted to get her a board that would be durable, fun and would last her a while. I wasnt going to buy her a $150 board because i didnt know if she would stick with it and she is just beginning. We just recieved the board today and I will say that I am pleased so far. The board came 2 days after i purchased it. The board is well made. The trucks seem sturdy and strong, I believe they may be made of plastic but if so then it is a very high quality because seems like metal to the touch but tapping them with a metal tool makes me think plastic. The grip tape is a good quality and grips well. The board does flex so i will say that the 250lb max statement is true and that is MAX! My daughter weighs about 140 and it doesnt flex at all but i weigh 240 and lets just say I'm not gonna chance it lol. The wheels seem soft and grip well. The bearings are not bad. I did order some yellow jackets to replace the factory bearing and i will say that the factory ones are better than i thought they would be. Great for beginners so might want to hold off on buying "better" ones. This is a good buy even if it was $100 set. So if your looking for a beginner board or even a replacement board and dont want to spend big dollars, this is a good choice. Also comes with the tool which I didnt expect so that was a surprise and a bonus. All in all... im glad i chose this one.

Great starting board for beginners
I decided to take up longboarding, and knew I'd need a basic, beginner's board to bang up and scratch as I learned. This board was everything I needed to learn on. It's stable and responsive. I tightened the bushings in the beginning for even more stability, and loosened them over time. The grip tape is definitely grippy, even when it gets wet or dirty. Even better, this board comes with a skate tool! Keep in mind though, you're getting what you're paying for. Two of my wheels don't spin quite as well as the others, and after getting Bones Reds bearings to replace the ABEC-9 bearings it came with, it seemed the problem was more with the trucks. Also, after riding for a few days outside, I discovered the front truck had bent upward already, making the front wheel hover a tiny bit off the ground--not the most durable. Still, the board handles well, and I have no other complaints! Overall: Great for beginners, inexpensive, free skate tool. Bang up a cheap board until you learn the basics, then graduate to a better board!
