Microwave Heating Pad for Back, Wearable Moist Heat Waist Wrap, Gray

I have suffered with an L5 prolapse disc for years. Whenever the back gets worse for whatever reason, I try and add a heat pack for during the day at work or if I am going out - particularly in this cold weather. I also have early onset of arthritis and get stiff joints/back/hips (I am only 55) in this damp so add heat again where possible. Up until now, I have always gone for the packs that stick either end that have magnets in them that heat up. These were fab as got really hot and lasted for hours. All day and through the night. Although they were expensive, they worked. For some reason - I can't seem to find them anywhere? I can find the pads without the magnet pieces but I don't find they work well at all and can easily come off. This was a bit of a punt as I have had a strap/Heated pad before that didn't work that well. This works really well! It has some weight to it - but actually for some reason this is part of why it feels like its working. I heated the pad in the microwave for 2 minutes. 900w micro. It stays hot for about 1.5 - 2 hours. Once that initial heat has dies down - the weight and the material combined keeps that area warm too. The material covering the pad area is lovely and soft. It is a very comfortable shape for the lower back - which previously I have struggled to cover. The strap will go around a bigger person and the extension strap allows you to put it over clothes if you prefer to wear it on the outside. I would suggest a layer on the inside as the velcro straps and the extension can catch and be a bit scratchy if worn directly on the skin. Overall it is really comfortable. In fact I kind of forgot I was wearing it for most of the day at work today. My work involves multiple trips a day so I am in and out of the car. This did not budge until I took it off. Super pleased with this purchase and it has really helped when I went out one evening which meant standing around in the cold for some time. It just helped keep me warm the whole evening and definately made a difference to the stiffness I would have got, if I had gone out without it. Saving money too as reusable. Perfect Amazon purchase!

Good design: gently hugs lower back she’s gently stays in place with wide soft padded Velcro band. Secure and comfortable enough to walk around or lie down without needing to re position it. Moulds to body shape to remain in close contact with all areas for optimal soothing pain relief. Ideal for pain from slipped discs, trapped nerve roots, period pain, muscle spasms. (Yes I suffer all of those!) This is the best heat pain relieving device I’ve ever tried. Better than the electric ones that don’t closely contour the body. The heated grains and seeds stay evenly spread across the pad thanks to the separate chambers. Retains heat for at least half an hour and reheats in microwave in three minutes. Super soft fabric. Only negative is the cover does not remove for washing but is soo great in other respects I’ll put up with that and just ensure to only heat it on a very clean microwave and only wear over clean clothes.

Nice quality material, heats up quickly in the microwave and the Velcro strap stays in place however it doesn’t seem to stay as hot for long like some others I’ve had

Absolutely delighted with this !! Super easy to use and actually does the job of heating your back and staying secure so you can move about . I have L4/5 issues & I find this does help along with my medication. Obviously it’s not going to make you be able to do cart wheels if you have a bad back , but it does offer some decent relief..

I'm using this on a trapped nerve and it really hits the spot. It's a moist heat too which is good. Really comfortable. A good long velcro strap to hold into place. It stays warm for about 20 minutes.

Heat doesn't stay fir long. Goes cold really quick. Returned item after few days. Uselesss

I bought this bc I suffer with chronic pain due to having Crohn’s, I’ve been using hot water bottles and warmies to ease the pain in my back and sides. So when I found this I thought it would be perfect as I wouldn’t need to use my little hot water belt and warmies anymore…. I liked that the size was much bigger and it wraps around your sides so it’s a two in one for me. The Velcro is also much stronger than the little hot water belt you get for period pains. Now onto the pros and cons, for me this is ideal to cover my lower back and sides, personally I don’t need the extended belt but it makes it versatile for my dad to use is he needs it for his back ect. I like the ribbed effect with the beads inside as it spreads the heat further and covers more surface area on my back. The one thing I’d say was I thought it would retain heat better, i put it in my carousel microwave for a minute and a half and then flip it and put it on for another 30 seconds. There’s no scent to it so it doesn’t make my microwave smell of burnt toast (which some of my very well used warmies do 🙈) even when I take it out and it’s piping hot to the touch it still only stays that hot for about 30 minutes and I find myself putting it back in the microwave after an hour. Which is fine! The pros out way the cons!! But I wanted to give an honest review, I know some people are saying the heat retention is great! And for some people 30 ‘minutes at peak heat may be good enough!!! Just for other chronic pain folks out there I’d just like to say you do need to reheat quite often!

This really help delivery constant heat to a very sore back. Now my first thing to grab when my back goes. Does generate some heat and is really comfy to wear, 2 mins in microwave.

No dura mucho el calor. He tenido otras y ha sido mejor mi experiencia

I personally love microwave heated pads, and have used them for 20 ears, including making my own, with whole oats. I have purchased multiple brands and versions, and this company's products are far superior. First off, the value is unsurpassed; well stitched, filling doesn't shift creating "dead spots", heats evenly, with wide secure velcro straps, which even includes a 12 inch "extender", and best of all, doesn't stink, no odor (assuming you skip the lavender option. My sole complaint, with all these products is they commonly do not include a removable, washable cover...why??? Loved it so much I ordered two of their 3pk option, eye mask, shoulder drape, and waist unit; and may need a third as my spouse has also taken to them! I heat for 222 seconds, spouse prefers 155 seconds. Holds temp 15 mins, then gradually cools, but is certainly still "warmish" after an hour. Highly recommend this brand and product line.

Just received and already used it. Easy to heat in the microwave. Really like that it can be secured and remains in one place with the Velcro straps. Easy to adjust. Came with an extra piece to extend the strap longer that I didn’t have to use. No sliding down. Also like the large area it covers on my lower back. Does not feel bulky. I put the heating pad in my microwave for 120-130 minutes. Stays warm for about 20 minutes. Didn’t time it. One thing I like about microwave heating pads, can fall asleep with them and no worries about getting burned like electric ones. They just cool off. This replaces a smaller heating pad with strap and like this heating pad a lot better. I ordered the purple color which is a pretty violet color. The material is very soft. Happy with my purchase!

Ohhh this heat pack is amazing. I’m eight months pregnant and my back is killing me, I pop this in the microwave and strap it on for instant relief. It will be great for labour as well because it can be strapped around me. I also have the neck and shoulders wheat bag of this brand, I’ve had it for a long time and that one is also fantastic.

I have ongoing back + issues. I have purchased varying products to help ease the pain of back, thighs etc. I finally found one that helps and easy to use. This is large enough to cover the entire back area, not just a small area. It works better because it is moist heat, not dry heat. It goes around the waist easily and includes an additional small extension for those that are larger round the waist. I use the moist heat for 20 minutes and then 2 hours later ice (yes, put it in the freezer) my back. Two hours later I start the process again. Good quality. Check out their other products for different areas of the body. It has given me more pain relief than what I had before.
