DEPENDABLE!
I like this MP3 player because when I listen to music, that's all I want to hear. I don't want to be interrupted by phone or notifications. I don't like those bluetooth earbuds because they don't stay in my ears. Even with the different size seal. One tilt of my head and out they fall. Occasionally, those bluetooth buds loses the signal and I have to stop and figure out why. I bought my second Oakcastle MP3 player just the other day. My previous one developed (or I thought) sound problems. It was over 14 months of use so I thought it was the electronics inside. The vocals were muffled and missing clarity. I thought it was the player itself and even formatted the player thinking my music was corrupted. Come to find out it was the included headphones that were inoperative. I didn't find out until this new one came in. I thought I would save the new ones for spare and plugged in the old headphone. Now I have 2 working MP3 players. No problem...this player has outstanding music quality depending on your headphones. The included headphone sounds very good to me. I listen to music from rock to symphony to hawaiian and they sound great. There is tight base just how I like and mids and highs are crisp and clear. I can hear every instrument in the songs. Loading your music is easy. Just connect your PC/Mac with the included USB cord and drag-and-drop your music into the player. As far as using it for exercise, there are some issues. The headphone cord is pretty long. I hank mine to about 8 inches and clip the player to my shirt collar. This works for me. The screen is easy to read and the song title is displayed. There is a battery gauge with 4 dots just like your phone. There is a visual equalizer graph that is displayed but I never had a need for it. Wish I could turn it off. The screen is not touch controlled. You have to navigate using the buttons below the screen. I absolutely like this method because the size of the player is very small and there is no way to operate the clip without grabbing the screen in the process. There is a FM radio inside with auto-tune. It uses the headphone cord and the antenna so lengthening the cord is recommended. An included micro SD slot allows you to have more space for music. I can highly recommend this player. Otherwise, I would not have bought another one.

Will not repeat a set of songs. Brakes very easy
Con: If you wish to repeat a list of music it will not do it. I have tried to get it to repeat the only way I can see is to clear out the player of every thing but the one list you want repeated. Pro: It is cheap. This is also a Con. I am on #3 now. #1 just stopped working, #2 I dropped and it broke, #3 still works Oct 15 Dropped and it broke. this thing brakes easy. I would get something else if I could find one with a clip. Have yet to find anything better at this price. Con: it is not easy to set it up to play a list of music in the order you wish. I use it for running a long with a Tokk speaker. To get it to play the music list in the other I wish I have to set it up on the computer with numbers before each song then move the full file over to the player. For audio books, If I do not take care when I move the files over to the player it will start the book some place in the middle of the book. Pro: The clip on the back holds it good to my shirt when I am running. Pro: It comes with a nice cover that may keep it from braking if you drop it. I was not using it for #2. Con: The cover makes it hard to see the screen and some times work the buttons.

Great Sound in a Lightweight Package
I have owned several MP3 players and this is one of the easiest to use with fine sound quality. After referring only briefly to the concise, yet helpful, manual, I discovered all the exciting features packed into this small and mighty player. It is not only a music player but an FM radio as well! The product can be loaded quickly and put into use in minutes. I was able to easily transfer music files from my Amazon Music Library account to the device using a PC with the enclosed USB cord. Unlike many players the color screen is very clear and easy to see. I especially like the feel of the device which is lightweight but not cheap feeling. I will definitely recommend to others who want something to use while working or exercising. Looking forward to connecting via BT to my other speakers. And the FM radio was clear and stayed on station while I used it at work. Really love this brand.

Stopped working after 2 months
Uodate: After having this for just over 2 months, it just stopped working while I was using it. I guess you get what you pay for. I love this very small mp3 player. It is very small, smaller than I actually expected, so if you have large fingers, this won't be a good fit for you. It is not hard to use, but I did read the instructions for some of it. The clip is sturdy, as i use it all the time. It does otherwise come with a clear silicone case but you then cannot use the clip. The music quality is great, battery life all depends on how loud your music is. I use bluetooth earbuds and the first time, it lasted almost 9 hours, the next about 8 hours and after that once lasted barely 4 hours but my music was louder than I normally have it. It also came with wired earbuds but those didn't even last me a couple hours. One side just stopped working, luckily I keep a spare with me at work. The main downfall to this device is that, when I pause my music, sometimes it happens right away and sometimes it takes a few seconds, but it will disconnect the bluetooth setting, so when you un pause it, you have to go back into the device and reconnect bluetooth. This is very inconvenient for me. So that means, you would have to go back to the main screen, find the bluetooth icon, hit that and reconnect, and this is almost every time you pause the music. I like that it has music storage in the device and I don't need to use an sd card, but there is a slot for one. The radio works well at my home, at work, the stations I have set don't really come in. I am actually really impressed with this mp3 player, and I am looking for a backup bluetooth player when this doesn't last my full shift, but I don't want this one again. If I used with without the bluetooth, this thing is great, fantastic but I mainly bought it for the bluetooth and the constant disconnecting is a major flaw for me. Also the quality of the device is kind of cheap to me. Mainly plastic. Adding music is very easy but it did take me a little bit to figure it out since when I would plug the usb cord to my laptop, any of my laptops, it wouldn't show there was anything there. I had to find the music player and sometimes trying to add music to that didn't always work. I have the SanDisk Sansa and I love it, too bad it's not bluetooth, but that one shows immediately when I plug the usb cord in. Otherwise I have no problem when it comes to downloading music. I would rate this a 5 but the disconnecting of the bluetooth is a bummer. So if you want consistent music after you pause it, this isn't for you. Trust me, I get frustrated with this, just because I don't always have the time to reconnect right away, since you have to get out of the music, find the bluetooth, find the on/off, reconnect, get back to the music and resume where you left off, every time it disconnects from bluetooth for being "paused" too long.

Listening to MP3 audiobooks
I was looking for a player that would work for MP3 audio books. I kept searching for one that would let you stop and then resume later and not lose your place. This is it. This was less expensive but it works perfectly for this. Literally with my earbuds I simply turn the ear buds on then turn on the mp3 player and it automatically pairs up with the ear buds and takes me right to the spot where I left off on the audio book. All I have to do is press play. The whole cycle takes 10-15 seconds. I couldn't ask for anything more. This is a perfect little player for audio books and the interface is good and simple overall. I am vv happy with this product.

Not a bad MP3 player
Pros: Good features. Great sound. Fast USB interface. Bluetooth connectivity is definitily nice and works well. Good price. Cons: The user interface is (that is, the menu system) is not great. You need a lot of button pushes to get to frequently used actions like changing the play mode or setting the sleep counter. It is hard to identify the buttons by touch. For example, If you keep the player in the pocket or it is dark, you end up hitting the wrong button often. The display has fake equalizer lights, that is, they are just flashing lights and do not actually reflect the frequency responses of what you are playing. It looks cool but it is complete useless. It would have been better if instead the designer used the real estate to show the other information in larger font, like the title/artist name, the volume level, etc. Overall, not a bad player for the price but I cannot say I am thrilled with the poorly designed user interface/menu system.

small MP3 Player/ 16 GB
The Oakcastle MP 200 is the newer version of the Oakcastle MP100, all the same features , Bluetooth FM radio expandable memory with a micro sd card. The menu is basic and easy to use , just scroll up or down. It connects to wireless ear buds and a bluetooth speaker fast and easy. The clip on the back is handy, just clip it somewhere convenient it is very small and light weight. I use it all day at work, I just down load from music library because I don't always want to stream from phone. Yes the size is small, but for me it is just what I was looking for , compact, light weight and functional at a good price

Not Reliable
I have purchased this unit twice, and both times it stopped working after a few weeks of use. The first unit would randomly turn on and shut itself off. Buttons were not responding. Amazon was very helpful in sending me a replacement unit, even though I was outside the 30 day return window. The second unit again was working fine for a few weeks. Then again, the buttons stopped responding. I tried powering on and off. I tried flipping the Hold switch back and forth, but still once the unit was powered on, buttons would not work. It's unfortunate, because it seems to be a nice unit when it was working. It is not reliable from a quality standpoint, and I would not recommend buying this device. Edit 6/6/23 I am on my third unit. Again the same thing happened. I am assuming that this is because the unit is not sweat-proof/resistant. I usually clip the unit to my shirt collar, so it should't be getting drenched with sweat. The silicone cover that comes with it makes it impossible to read the screen or find the buttons, so that was not a practical solution. This may be a good unit for walking or low intensity activities, but definitely did not work for me for running.

Buon prodotto

what a great little device!
ok,l so i was first introduced to one of these players back in the summer when i took part in a walking tour of Glasgow. I was handed one of these little devices which was loaded with an audio description of the city. i plugged in my headphones and presssed play. i have to say that it was great quality playback and very clear. its loudness was great. some MP3 players are restricted too much with the output volume, but these are at a good level with plenty of headroom. so when i discovered these on Amazon i was quick to buy one. well i am not disapointed. the audio playback / quality is great. being a DJ in my spare time, audio level and quality is important. plus this would be good at the gym as its very compact and light. a nice colour screen with plenty of functions for a micro sd card or drag and drop songs from a computer using the usb cable. it also has a radio which i have not tried yet but its well bundled. even my ipod doesnt have a radio! this would also suit the older generation as its nice and simple to use without too many buttons (i am only 50 before you ask!!) would recommend

Solidny produkt z małym ale.
Solidny odtwarzacz z dobrym brzmieniem.

Buen producto calidad precio
