Easy for me. Fish love it.
I've been using tetramin flakes- this food blows them out of the water. I was confused when I only saw one hole poked for the lid, but it's perfect. It allows me to shake food in like a pepper shaker without dumping too much. No more fish food fingers. My neon tetras showed immediate excitement about this food. And they started feeding in their dedicated zone for the first time whereas before this they preferred sinking to the bottom to steal the catfish food. The food floats and sinks at a near perfect rate for the fish to feed.Pardon my dirty tank. Love this. Will never go back.

Great quality feed
I really like the salt shaker type container, just the right amount comes out. My fish love it, tiny enough for my juvenile pearls danios to easily eat

Great ingredients! , less float, but neat sinking action
As a breeder for new strains of endlers- diet becomes paramount and transparency in ingredients is a plus. My 'Mellow Yellows' are my pride and joy with the markings of a endler in neon yellow, and females matching yellow. I love to mix the food supply, from live food, flakes, frozen- and used to use Hikari brand pellets. The Hikari pellets (guppy) are slightly too large for Endlers, and therefore means there is more waste (spiking the ammonia in a planted tank). These Ultra Fresh Tropical pellets are the a more appropriate size- even for the juveniles (reminder, endlers are not the same size as guppies- they are extremely small), however they dont float on the surface for long. When they sink- it is not directly down, but more a a flurry motion (like a leaf in the wind). Excess once moist still will rustle up from the substrate- so smaller fish can take advantage (huge plus- lightweight, not heavy). The fish seems to love the flavor, and the motion of the pellets as they sink. I cant judge the end result yet- but I should be able to tell in the next month if the pellets are worth the price tag (ill see how the females breed, but I expect good results). I removed one star, as i hoped the floated better- but that is all relative to your water current in the tank.

This will tame any species
This pellet and the slightly larger sinking pellet are both the same smell and I assume ingredients, this tiny pellet is drier so they do not clump together, and it comes out just like a salt shaker. It is the perfect size for the tetras tiny mouth and floats for a few seconds for the top feeders before flying all over the tank to cause a feeding frenzy. It does float in the current for a while which I appreciate as the frenzy lasts longer than with other pellets. The smell is very attractive to small fish species and even my neon tetras became domesticated after 3 months of use. It’s easy to get a live bearer to eat out of your hand and trust you, but to get a school of tetras to come and eat out of your hand is unheard of. They like this stuff so much that when I use the larger sinking pellet version in my hand they will come peck at me for a meal. When I sprinkle this smaller pellet in the tank like a salt shaker everyone goes crazy and the tank comes to life. It has made my tank more lively and my tetras have more personality- even amongst themselves. It is expensive- and I bought it the first time just to see if they prefer a smaller pellet, but I’m honestly stuck with this product forever. It’s the best fish food I’ve tried in 9 years of owning fish, 5 of those years as a serious aquascaper. I’m glad I found this product.

Neon Tetra Aquarium Ultra Fresh Tetra Food
The media could not be loaded. After researching nutrition for my aquariums I have firm confidence with Ultra Fresh Tropical Fish Food products. The 20 gallon was preparing itself while waiting over a year for the Neon Tetra family. In preparation for the delivery of 30 I purchased a container of the Ultra Fresh Tetra food.Today Dec 8, 2023 is the second day that my Neon Tetra family is home. They have been acclimated and the light turned off since yesterday. I let them wake up and then gave them their first breakfast which they devoured. It is good to note that the food container top has many little holes but only one is perforated. I shake a small amount into my palm and crush it even more and pinch bits into the aquarium. A little goes a long way!Update photo number one is feeding on day three Saturday Dec 9th. I was too late for an update video that had them so happy frantic but I think these first impressions are the most telling. The video, which speaks for itself, is from day four December 10. This 20 gallon aquarium is dedicated to the Neon Tetras. It is not my intention of adding any other species including catfish to the aquarium.Although the Tetra pellets are tiny, I do crush the pellets, turn off the filter and put small pinches in the water so as not to add too much. The Neon Tetras are shy so they’ll eat and play and then they all eat again so I let them eat for about 10 minutes. Neons let you know when they want to eat by swimming high in the water and when they’re done by just remaining near the bottom playing. The stillness of the water while they are eating lets the surface eating Neons create some of the slow sinking pellets.I have the Ultra Fresh guppy food and the catfish food for the 75 gallon aquarium. Ultra Fresh fish foods are awesome!

Encourages Tetras to Eat, Color & Growth Improvement, Less Waste
The media could not be loaded. Perfect sized food for small fish. My zebra danio, honey gourami, neon and cardinal tetras love this stuff. My tetras used to be very shy and would wait towards the bottom, but they like this food so much that they have started coming to the surface during meal times even with my much larger angelfish present in the community tank. The faster fish used to gobble all the flake food, but with this I can just swish it in the water and everyone gets to eat without me having to overfeed and scatter. I would not say this is slow sinking, but unlike flake food, it stays intact and doesn't disintegrate. You can see in my video how this food moves in the water. I also noticed a distinct improvement in color and size of my tetras since feeding them this primarily. My tetras are mostly 1" or larger and very brightly colored compared to when I first got them.
