A-Premium Belt Tensioner Assembly with Pulley Compatible with Chevrolet

Got this for my daughters 18 Chevy Trax 1.4L as her old one was making noises. This fit right in like OE. Installation was easy, remove the belt from the pulley, take out 2 bolts and it falls right out, and install the new one. I used the OE bolts, as the new bolts don't look as heavy duty as the OE. Once it was replaced, there was no more noises from this part. PRetty good value, I've used A-Premium parts before, and I have had no issues with them.

I recently purchased a belt tensioner pulley with high hopes of improving the performance of my vehicle's engine. However, my experience with this product has been nothing short of disappointing. Upon installing the pulley, it quickly became evident that something was amiss. To my dismay, the pulley fell apart almost immediately, leaving me stranded with a malfunctioning part. Believing the first one to be defective, I reluctantly exchanged it for another, hoping for better luck. Unfortunately, my optimism was short-lived as the second pulley suffered the same fate, crumbling apart upon installation just like its predecessor. It became apparent that the issue wasn't isolated; this product simply could not withstand the rigors of normal use. In light of these experiences, I strongly advise against wasting hard-earned money on this belt tensioner pulley. Its substandard materials and subpar construction ensure that it will only lead to frustration and disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and seek out a more reliable alternative.

The original tensioner bolt is torque to yield, meaning that you are supposed to replace the bolt when you replace the tensioner. I was happy to see this tensioner came with a replacement bolt, with same etorx head as the original, unlike some of the others. But when installing the new tensioner I found that the new bolt is 3/8-1/2" shorter than the original. What that means is it only catches 1-2 threads in your engine block before bottoming out. Use bolt at your own risk! There is a good chance it will strip your engine. Once I figured this out I had no other choice but to reuse the original bolt for the new tensioner. Not ideal but otherwise it seems to be fine, can't give 5 stars.

I have put over 3000 miles on it and it is working great.

Perfect fit for 2018 Chevy Sonic 1.4l Turbo. Fixed my issue. Comes with a retainer pin to keep the spring under tension so just a reminder to remove it after you reinstall the belt.

Good product overall, but the tensioner wheel did squeal quite a lot after installation.
