What are the dimensions of this house?

Those listed dimensions are exterior. The interior measures 16.5" x 17" Something I wish I had known or noticed before buying a 12.5" x 18" heating mat. If the mat wasn't rigid it might have worked but......

has anyone tried to install a store bought cat door in this house? One of the ones with a magnet flap or a ridgid plastic swinging door?

We did NOT attach the two plastic door flaps to the outdoor cat house. The feral cat (we named socks) who adopted us probably appreciates the feeling of a quick escape if needed. Socks is a pretty large cat and fits comfortable in the cat house.

Will the lid stay down and heavy wind without having to be anchored by rocks on top?

Hi. yes, when you put it all together, there are plastic screws that hold it all together. Its fairly heavy and solid, it would take a very strong wind to move it.

There is 2 doors on this both with one flap each. I actually don’t use either. My cats are scared of the flaps but they live the box
