Already had the F11gim, what's new on this one?

F11gim2 is an upgraded version of F11gim, it has an extended video transmission range to around 9800ft, as it carries an enchanced signal transmitter, so it can fly further, and the video feed will be more stable.

If it goes out of range it will return to home? I want to test how far the video function will work and am scared of losing it..

Under GPS mode, you can't get the drone fly out of range, when lost remote connection will automatically trigger the Return To Home feature. When lost video feed, you can use the one-key Return To Home feature on the app or remote, but need to pay attention to the battery level. Fly in a high altitude will help reduce the risk of crash into any obstacles.

how is it possible to get wi-fi reception at 9,000 feet distance?

On the Gim 2.. the controller has a bridge repeater built in. Your phone actually connects to this, and the controller broadcasts a much stronger signal to drone. It will achieve over 9000' easily, with no loss of video feed.

When you connect to the app does it automatically put you on the dones wifi or do you need to conncet to the drones wifi first before the app?

On a i phone you must fist go into your settings and go to Wi-Fi and connect the drone with your device i believe it will say Roku … click on that then open the app that you use to actually control and celebrate the drone with make sure your blue tooth is on as well
