Maxline M7500 Master Kit, 3/4-Inch x 100-Feet by Maxline

I was a little suspicious when I initially ordered, but seemed like a better way to go than piecing together black pipe or rubber lines. Wasn't disappointed at all, stuffs awesome. The lines themselves are weirdly rigid while being easily formed to take turns or go around obstacles. I had one large 25 foot run behind conduits and other stuff on the wall I was worried about, simply cut the length I needed and pulled/pushed the line through in all of 2 minutes. The fittings are solid, machined aluminum with brass plugs and a drain spout. I'd rate the machining as consumer grade, there are areas where edges are milled down right beside edges that aren't. Mind the utility parts are great, threads are clean and there's no burrs or anything I needed to take care of ahead of time. Seems most people wind up with more line than fittings, which is smart for the company and easily solved by the consumer (I'll be it at a cost, the fittings are expensive). But the fittings it comes with are enough to get you started, and the quality and convenience of everything included makes up for having one less fitting than you'd want.

This is really a great solution for adding compressed air to a shop. It isn't the cheapest way to do it, but the end result is worth it (IMHO). It's a challenge to work with for sure (straightening it is pretty difficult, and long runs can be awkward to maneuver into place - get a helper to assist) but once it's installed it works great. I didn't buy a tubing straightener, just unrolled it and straightened it as well as I could against my belly. That worked well enough to get it installed. Once up, I tweaked out the waves with a couple of "persuaders" that I made from 2x4's The tubing is too stiff to tweak with your hands (my hands anyway) so you'll need some kind of leverage tool (see photo). You can easily bend the tubing 90 degrees (or more - it comes in a coil), which enables you to go around inside corners without the use of an elbow. Saves money and improves air flow. See photos. The fittings are top quality, appear to be nickel plated brass (the terminal blocks are aluminum). They are quite expensive to buy individually but the kit included enough for my installation, I didn't need to buy more. The cutting tool and reamer worked perfectly well, and also served for cutting and reaming PEX tubing in a subsequent job. BTW PEX may be just as good as this stuff for air lines, something to consider - it could be a cheaper solution. However this kit includes pretty much everything you need in one box - tubing, tools, mounting clips, drain valves, and various connectors and terminal blocks. So building a system in PEX might not save all that much in the end. The instructions are clear enough. They recommend both teflon tape and pipe dope on the threaded connections. I'm not sure why (I generally use teflon tape only) but I followed the instructions and the whole system is airtight. So I'm quite pleased. One caution in the instructions is not to pressurize the system too suddenly. Apparently this can weaken (fatigue) the tubing over time. I installed an electric ball valve which opens very slowly, seems ideal. Overall a great product. 5 stars.

Very easy to install when it's warm. The fittings were easy to install and doesn't leak air.

I had been having an issue with moisture in my air compressor lines and started doing some research on dryers and line systems. As part of the solution for the moisture, I ended up getting this RapidAir 3/4" 100' kit to get drains all around my shop. Prior to this, I only had one port for connecting the air compressor and was getting water every time I was using my compressor. Well, what a great product! For the money you can't beat it. It took me about 6 hours to install the kit but I was taking my time and wanted to think through where to put the ports. The line is pretty stiff but I was able to get it straight enough for my OCD by bending it and eyeballing the line as I unrolled it. Once it was up, if a spot looked too low or high on the wall I would just push up and adjust it and it stayed in place and it looks great. I did the install by myself so it was definitely something that anyone can do. So far no leaks and I love the new "universal" couplers that I got at Lowes for the ports.
