Here is the answer from Casio:There are two features on the fx-9750GII that you might find useful:(1) in Graph mode (Option 3 from the Main Menu), you can use GMEM to store and recall functions that you wish to graph repeatedly.(2) Program mode (Option 9 from the Main Menu) allows you to enter programs, which is very flexible and might allow you to store the notes and formulas you need. However, its primary purpose is to execute programs, so I don't know how useful that option would be for you. It depends on how much information you are planning on storing.There is no specific note-taking mode on the fx-9750GII.

which is the max size of matrix you can input?

According to the user manual, the max size of matrix you input is 999 (rows) X 999 (columns).

Where is the stat key? My son says he needs a graphing calculator for college algebra and it has to have the stat key

I don't use it for stat, but there's a menu button, and when you press it, it shows you the main menu. There you'll find Stat. There's another option in that menu for Graph! I use the graphing option all the time, it's very easy to use.
