Where the King is, there is His kingdom and in His presence, there is power. I believe that as we lead worship, we are ushering people into Gods presence and making room for them to encounter God in a powerful way. I also have begun to understand that the Lord is asking me to partner with Him in this process. We Still Believe chronicles this journey of faith. My deepest prayer is that as people listen to this album, they will feel the presence of the King and move into all that God has for them. - Kathryn Scott - Portstewart, Northern Ireland Now you can learn to play these wonderful worship songs for your own church or home using this Digital Songbook!

Soothing
I had the privileged of actually hearing her record this album in Redding, CA live. I didnt know it at the moment that day until they made the announcement that it was a live recording for their upcoming cd. It was beautiful then and its beautiful now. I can just sit in my room and listen to Child of God and over and over.

Scott's New CD Shows "Believe" with a Difference
Prime Cuts: Deliverance, Child of God, I Believe In JesusA CD cover speaks a thousand words: while most praise and worship CDs would often depict raucous crowds of people raising hands in a dark cinematic theatre, Kathryn Scott's CD looks more like that of a country music artist's. With her standing in the midst of rustling greens overlooking a peaceful valley of homes, this immediately signals that this disc is different from the hordes of worship music out there. Though "We Still Believe" is far from being a country CD, like some of the music from that genre, Scott's music is not so much audience driven but vocal driven. Instead of trying to capture the hoopla of this live recording with screams and "amens" from the crowd, the backing is kept to a minimum. Rather, the cynosure is on Scott's vocal mannerisms as she strives to give vocal expressions to her passion for Jesus. Listen to how she vocally transforms the worship standard "I Believe in Jesus" into a beaming anthem of testimony of faith is just worth the price of this disc itself.Wisely, Scott has mix mesh familiar worship staples with newly written ones. Other than aforementioned "I Believe in Jesus," Scott gives a rousing reading on the timeless "There's a Redeemer." Never one to be domesticated as just a singer of songs, Scott shows that she's first and foremost a worshipper through her spontaneous heartfelt prayer tagged at the end of "There's a Redeemer." As a bonus Scott has also included a studio version of her best known hit to date the ballad "Hungry." A fast burgeoning worship staple, "Hungry" will one day have a place up there with evergreens such as "Breathe" and "Heart of Worship." Of the newly crafted songs, the Celtic-influenced ballad "Deliverance" and the Vicky Beeching stately upbeat "Only By Grace" are bound to be on song sets of churches across the world in no time.Worship leader and label mate Brian Doerksen joins Scott on "Come Back Home"--a beautiful retelling of the story of the Prodigal Son in today's parlance. Considering that Scott used to be more of a solo artist than a worship leader, there are a few tracks that lean less towards congregation singing. "Presence," though a heart rendering prayer delivered with utmost passion, is too wordy to be a congregation sing-a-long. Like Sheila Walsh, Scott had previously allowed her Irish roots to permeate her songs this time round she had kept it to a bare minimum. Perhaps the most Celtic is the gentle "Child of God" basked in a bevy of strings that is just a delight to listen to.With the focus on Scott's vocals, many a times this recording comes across like her previous projects--solo recordings. Maybe for a live worship project, Scott should have more congregational attuned worship pieces. Nevertheless, as a listening experience in personal worship, there are some excellent selections here that are God-centered, theologically sound, and heart warming.
