Chardin home 100% Cotton Diamond Rug Fully Reversible - Mat Size 21''x34'', Machine Washable, Black-White

I love this rug! The color blend so well with my floors. Quality looks so well, soft to the touch but sturdy at the same time. Perfect with the 4 corners grippers from Amazon (see the video review where I applied them since this is a cotton rug and it will move when you walk on it) and the best part since I have pets is that it is machine wash. Very happy and satisfied.

We bought this 3’x5’ rug for inside our back door. We love the colors and the fact that we can wash it and throw it in the dryer. With 3 dogs and a tile floor, we immediately realized that the rug would not stay put. In fact, it became a slipping/tripping hazard, so we decided to purchase a 3’x5’ felt gorilla mat to go underneath it. That made a huge difference! The rug stayed put and the felt mat actually added a nice cushion to the rug. I washed and dried the rug for the first time last week. It shrunk quite a bit, which was actually perfect for our needs because 3’x5’ was slightly too big for the area. The picture shows how much it shrank after the first wash. It may shrink more when I wash it again. I just cut the felt mat with scissors to match the new smaller size of the rug. We are extremely happy with this rug. It’s soft and easy to care for. Our dogs love resting on it. With the added felt mat, it makes a perfect rug for the back door!

Love the quality, style, and the practicality of this rug. It wash well so far no loss threading. It did loss some color but the picture you can’t tell. It did shrink slightly. I would love to get it longer but I just didn’t measure well. Oops. I did get the 4x 6 last year for my patio and the only comment t it loss was coloring over several wash.

I'm not picky in the grand scheme of things, but I have struggled to find a mat that makes me happy. They are either too slippery, too ugly, too fancy, a little too high so I trip over them, etc. It has taken me years and years to find a mat that is attractive, washable, good size/height, durable and without those pesky tassles on the end. This mat is it!!!!!!!! I bought the black one in two different sizes and I find myself staring at it lovingly. I want to buy a whole bunch more and hoard them so I will not be without them in the years to come! I did try a different color (blue) and wasn't crazy about that color but it hits the mark in all other areas. Now I need to find a place to store all the backup mats for the future - ha ha!

Great value for money. This is in a high traffic area and I’m able to wash it in the washing machine.

I like the look, but when you wash it, it leaves all kinds of fibers and stuff in the washer. I have to remove all the little particles left behind or they stick to the next wash of clothes.

I've purchased a number of these and have tried the Safavieh rugs in the past that I usually love the look of online but then end up immediately returning once I see them in person. These Chardin rugs are superior in every way: better made, colors more vibrant (the whites are whiter instead of that dirty-beigy color called "ivory" or whatever for the Safavieh), cleaner out of the packaging (can't believe I have to mention that, but the Safavieh rugs are always so dirty!), and, most importantly, NO SMELL. I'm talking zero smells! The Safavieh rugs always have this moldy/mildewy smell like they've been stored in a damp basement for years. The Chardin rugs don't have that dingy, moldy quality to them. I haven't had any problems with them unraveling, and my cats have attacked them a couple of times. They also clean up nicely with spot treatments, and I have a feeling (although I have yet to try) that they'd wash nicely in a front loader on the gentle cycle because they are of similar quality to much older cotton rugs I've had in the past that I washed for years. I've had mine for several months now in busy areas, and there is zero fraying. I really like these rugs! The only downside, for me, is the lack of varying sizes. I have 3 different sizes in the turquoise color, but they all seem too small for what I'm going for. I'd love an extra large one to replace the 3x5 that ended up being a couple of feet too short in both width and length. It works okay for now in my mudroom area but is clearly too small for the room. I'd also like to replace this short rug that is in front of my kitchen sink with a longer runner - about 2'x6' or 7'. Chardin, please make more sizes available in this particular pattern and stitching! They are so nice!

I've had this rug for a couple years now and have washed it a lot. It has held up great. Definitely a great rug.

I really liked this rug initially. The pattern is nicer than I thought, and it’s quite thick and absorbent which was perfect for putting in front of the kitchen sink. However, I noticed quite quickly that the mat wouldn’t stay still against the tiled floor. I somewhat anticipated this issue and simply laid it over top of a rug pad. This mostly fixed the problem, although over time, it would still shift around the tile. This issue wasn’t ideal, but mostly minor and acceptable. The main problem that is definitely not acceptable: the edges of the mat have started to bend upwards, resulting in both myself, and my partner, tripping over the mat repeatedly while attempting to make dinner each night. The last straw was when I tripped over it holding a freshly sharpened chef’s knife! I’m sure this mat would work well in other areas of the house, (e.g. washrooms, entrances, etc) however, considering the product listing has a photo of the mat in the KITCHEN, I definitely expected it to be suitable for a kitchen. I have repurposed this mat for use in the cats’ play area - they absolutely love sleeping on this thing!
