XT5QMC Mercon V Automatic Transmission Fluid - Case of 12 Quarts

Ruby Red and in my power steering reservoir AND transmission. Just like the good old Ford engineers ask for. Used in my 94 F-150 with E4OD, 95 F-350 with ZF5 Manual, and 2002 F-250 4R100 and Transfer Case.

This is what you use if you have a 97 F350 7.3 E4OD 2003 F350 7.3 4R100. I also used this on 2003 F150 4.6 4R70. I have owned Ford trucks since 1998 always confused on what transmission fluid. Never get a transmission flush. Pump the transmission fluid out w return line. I buy 2 cases at a time for one truck. Be extremely careful and write down what you did. Also don’t think the Menards buckets are precision. The last bucket I pump out I will fill the transmission at least quart low. Do not overfill your transmission. I drop the transmission pan first put in a new Motorcraft filter. Fill it back up. Then I remove the return line and pump out 4 quarts at a time using a Menards measuring bucket. I purposely pump out fluid by starting the truck and letting the return line dump 4 quarts in at a time. I have done this many times. You will waste fluid on purpose. 17-21 quarts if you want to be thorough. There is a thread by a guy named Mark K. on a website specific to Fords. It is absolutely the best way to do it. I also install external transmission filter kits from a company from Florida any Ford truck I buy. I started doing this somewhere around 2013 maybe a tad later. This is what is necessary if you want to take care of your Ford Truck Transmission. Dropping the pan isn’t sufficient go all out. I don’t drain the torque converter. I just pump all the fluid out. You will definitely notice how great this method is. Find the thread. It’s legendary
