Rain cover that's lightweight (7oz) and waterproof
Like: - Lightweight (7oz), great for backpacking. - Cheap compared to some of the more popular brands; maybe not as durable but in my case I will only wear them a few times a year so I don't foresee any issues. (though might be durable enough, I haven't tried them in the field yet). - Waterproof: I poured water on them, and the inside did not even get damp. If however I try to push air through the fabric (holding my mouth against it) a tiny amount of air does go thru. So they are somewhat "breathable". Will be nice for winter backpacking too. Don't like: - They are a bit noisy and feel like a piece of thin "cardboard" (see video). Not a deal breaker to me though. - I usually wear size Large pants (US waist 34, length 30 - I'm 5'9, 170lbs), but these are Medium, and fit me at the waist like normal Large pants would. The legs are baggy enough to allow for another pair of thick pants under. A Large would also work since the waist is elastic, though the legs may be even more baggy then. But either would be fine for a backpacking trip.

Waterproof pants that work
When I ordered these waterproof pants, I was skeptical how good they would be due to the price. When I opened the package, I was not enamored with the looks of these waterproof pants. I described them to a best friend. He started laughing and stated that they are not great looking but absolutely do their job as being waterproof. He stated several of his buddies wear them every year on their Canadian fishing trips. I wore these pants in an absolute down pour. I wore another pair of pants underneath the waterproof pants. The underneath pants were completely dry. That is what was important to me.

Works well at keeping rain out - some tradeoffs with it... read inside.
I was torn between a 3 and 4 star review on this product. In some respects this product is without question 5 star, it works just as it promises at keeping the rain off of me, and does so VERY well. In some respects this is a 3 star product, it does not feel comfortable and the material simply feels like a cheap reusable grocery bag... Perhaps I am being too difficult on the product, but I figure it is best to be fully transparent in the review process so that you as the potential buyer understands the benefits and downsides to the product. If you're looking for pure waterproof pants, these are GREAT, I wore them on a day of fishing where we received over 1" of rain and my shorts underneath stayed bone dry, for that I am totally thankful I have them and will be using them in this capacity from here on out. As far as wearing these anywhere but a camping, fishing, outdoors, event I can't see wearing them, sure they weren't meant to be stylish, and I get that, but overall the quality of the material simply feels cheap, I am not saying that is, but it feels like it would rip in a second if I managed to scrape it on a branch. Also this material is LOUD, you're not going to sneak up on anyone while wearing these pants, if you're going to be going hunting I would consider other options. Further the sizing on these is big, I presume this is to accomodate wearing other clothes underneath, which is fine, but I am 6'0" and I had to roll up the waist a bit to ensure the bottom of the pant legs was not dragging, not ideal by any means.

Thinner than they use to be but still durable and my go to raingear
If you dont like those big yellow rubber raingear outfits that leave you wet from sweating in them and would prefer something lighter and easier to move around in these would be it. They are pretty durable depending what type of work you plan to do in them. I've used them for hunting (not deer hunting quiet), hiking, and light outdoor yard work and have found them to be good quality. I buy mine 1 size up so I have room to layer up underneath in the winter and plenty of room to move around without restriction. They are light weight and will rip quicker than the rubber but thats a trade off I am willing to take for the comfort. I generally get a few years use out of them before I replace them and like that I can buy the pants separate from the shirt so I'm able to go large pants and medium top tailoring it to my build and preference. My go to raingear because they simply work, are comfortable and inexpensive.

Awesome pants
I bought these pants a while back because of the super low price. When they arrived I was kind of disappointed. They are super baggy like MC hammer pants and felt like they were made of stiff paper. I hung them in the closet and pretty much forgot about them. Today I woke up to almost 2ft of snow and 20° temps. Normally I would be putting on my super expensive overalls that start with a C. Those expensive overalls make me sweat, within minutes I'm wet up to my knees from snow and we all know being sweaty and wet in the cold is a bad recipe. But today I said I'm giving these pants the ultimate test. I put these on over a $10 pair of sweatpants, tightened the cuffs around my boots with the built in velcro straps and went on my way. I spent an entire day trudging through 2ft deep snow, shoveling, chopping firewood and playing in the snow with the kids. To my amazement these pants are weightless, I never broke a sweat, they completely block the wind and I stayed bone dry all day. Nothing sticks to these pants. Worth every penny.

No zipper on legs as stated in item photos.
Deceptive descriptions. Photo on the item stated zippered legs, there is no zipper. Was counting on the zipper for wider leg to go over boots. They do have a wider leg (ankle) opening with velcro, but zipper would have been better. Haven't tested it out yet, seems more water resistant than waterproof. Also, they are really REALLY long. My hubs is 5'11" and he held them up, they came up to his chest! I will have to cut off a good 6-8".

Fully functional
1 year update: Still using the same set... its getting about time for a replacement... but I still arrived home dry after my 1 hour commute in heavy rain on the motorcycle. Original review after a few months: After thousands of miles through all of Ohio weather minus snow, they kept me dry on my daily 50 commute each way. Small and light enough to keep in my bag all the time. Big enough to go over my normal boots so getting them on over my gear is a quick and easy process. Its a permanent part of my loadout. Even at times when it was dry but cold, I put them on to break the wind for comfort.

Did the job
Wore these bad boys to a music festival in a Hurricane. Dances my but off and didn't get my legs wet at all. Then Was up all night fending to our camp set up in torrential downpour. None of the canopies or tents survived, but my leg never got wet. They were very thin, kind of flimsy material. It seems like they could rip easily. They were long enough for my tall legs I'm 5.8 130lbs. The waist was a little, but the adjuster made it easy to fit. If you're looking for something and you're looking for something for a few times uses and not like an every day, water prevention tight pants these are definitely the way to go.

They work
I work as a motorcycle instructor and these frog trousers are the real deal! Way better than conventional storm trousers. I have also worked them on over my boots several times because I'm stupid and so far they haven't ripped.
